About Me

I was originally born in Vienna, the capital of Austria. So at a young age, I could speak two languages, German and English.
Unfortunately, I have forgotten most of my German now, as I moved to England in 2012, it was no longer needed.
In 2023, I moved to Brussels to live with my father and follow in his footsteps of becoming an English teacher. This is why I am writing you this now as I want to embark on a journey and help people with their English. So feel free to contact me and hopefully, we can help each other :)

I have facilitated workshops and given classes throughout my career all over the world.

English pronunciation is essential these days because English is spoken everywhere and all the time.

I followed specialized training such as the verb tonal method, Feldenkrais or mental coaching.

We are therefore going to work in a slightly different way by combining articulatory techniques, movement, rhythm, intonation, warming up of the jaw and tongue, stretching of the neck, neck and shoulders to arrive to very fast results.

I've been teaching English to small children up to teenagers at École Française Internationale. I give lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. I mix between French and English so the pupil doesn't get too confused, but also allows them to understand every detail.

For beginners, we usually talk about our surroundings, what's close to us and what affects us on a daily basis. (Numbers, directions, the weather, asking simple questions, what's a noun and pronoun and where to put them in a sentence). I like to find playful activities so that the pupil/student is in control of their work.
Of course, this is an example for a certain age group, but it also varies depending on their knowledge and their age.

For intermediates, we make basic conversation. Ex: How do you go to school; What do you do in your free time? ; What's the weather like?

The start of the course with a new learner consists of detecting their level by talking about their background, what they already know, what they must master in order to no longer have any gaps. The first lesson also allows the learner to get comfortable and get to know me to establish mutual trust. That’s why I use a touch of my British humor to achieve this. (I generally do this at the start of the lesson with my students to establish a good mood and they are always delighted!) To help the learner better engage with the learning, I will ask them what their passions/hobbies are, this who interests him to arouse interest in learning. I will adapt my lessons on subjects that speak to him more.

Whatever the reason for the course, whether it is to improve oral, written, reading or listening comprehension, I organize audio sessions, readings, everything necessary to deepen in the language.

Obviously, we will tackle all skills: reading, writing, speaking and hearing.

Who? I'm Julie, a fan of languages, I've already mastered almost four, and I always want to discover new ones. English has (almost) no more secrets for me. I'm also a photographer and a photography teacher on the side, so I have a background in building lessons with lots of practice.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Eléa, I am 27 years old and have a master's degree in biology, specializing in ecology and biodiversity.
I teach English here for anyone who wants to learn or improve their level.
I speak fluent English, in addition to having obtained a C1 in IELTS, I studied my master's degree in English. I also lived for 6 months in South Africa, working in a South African association.

Regarding the course of my classes, everyone learns best in their own way and it is therefore important for me to know each student to know which method(s) to use during our classes (auditory, visual and/or kinesthetic learning).
