About Me

I am a native Russian and Ukrainian speaker from Ukraine. I have been teaching Russian to foreigners for several years. I have extensive experience in communication with foreign students. For each of my students, I prepare a special and unique work plan based on the wishes and goals of the student. My main job is to get you to speak a new foreign language.

I have experience of working as a Russian and Ukrainian tutor for foreigners in Ukraine and in other countries of the world. I also work as a reader at the Russian Language School in Kiev. During lessons with my foreign students, we immerse ourselves in the language environment together and in this way we learn the language.

I speak slowly and clearly, adjusting the vocabulary and sentence structures to your level - in a parentese form of speech.We speak on any topic that naturally emerges in the conversation: life, personal stories, movies, music, art, food, society, science, relationship – anything that people usually talk about. I can help you to break down the wall and start speaking!

We will use activities to practise your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. Improving your skills will help you use English more effectively and do well in your studies, get ahead at work and communicate in English in your free time.

I provide materials such as different types of texts, recordings and videos with interactive exercises and worksheets that practise the skills you need.

Ukrainian/Russian for Undegraduates course proceeds from the easiest elements (e.g. the nomenative case of nouns and past tense of verbs) to the most complex (e.g. adjectival and adverbial participles. All of the materials is presented from the point of view of an English speaker learning Ukrainian/Russian.The course is diveded into twenty three chapters and introduction to phonetics. This division readily corresponds to a lesson or two lessons per week in a twenty -six/thirteen weeks course, including devotion to phonetics and one week remaining for testing and review. The grammatical drilss are included. Each lesson ends with a homework drill which is to be done outside of the class and which is intended to be a test of the student's grasp of the material covered.
