Hi there! I'm Emma, a biomedical engineering student who genuinely enjoys helping kids feel confident in math. I know that for many students, math can feel frustrating or confusing, and that’s where I come in.
My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and patient. I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where kids aren’t afraid to make mistakes or ask questions. I break concepts down into simple steps, use everyday examples to explain ideas, and adjust my approach based on each child's unique learning style.
I’ve worked with children for years, as a lifeguard and in childcare, so I know how to connect with young learners in a way that’s both fun and focused. I especially love working with students in elementary and early middle school (ages 6–11), whether they’re struggling with homework, preparing for a test, or just need a little extra practice.

Junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration, planning on pursuing graduate school after completion of my bachelor's degree.
