Welcome to my Taiko drumming class, where you'll learn the art and energy of traditional Japanese drumming. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, I’ll guide you through the essentials of Taiko, helping you connect with rhythm, body movement, and Japanese culture.

In this class, you’ll learn:

Basic Taiko Techniques: Understand the fundamental methods for striking the Taiko drum, using proper posture and body alignment to channel your energy effectively.

About Me

I’m a Japanese Taiko drummer based in Stockholm, with a deep passion for sharing the energy and spirit of Japanese drumming and culture. I bring years of experience practicing Taiko in Japan. My lessons focus on the traditional techniques and movements of Taiko, helping students connect with this powerful art form while immersing them in Japanese cultural traditions. Drumming has a positive effect on anxiety, grief, fatigue, depression and behavioral issues. While drumming children strengthen their ability to focus and work on impulse control and decision making skills. Playing the drums can help people express themselves and get in touch with their emotional state.

You will learn how to play drums for different kind of music in a band, or you can learn how to be a professional drummer.

Beginners to advanced students of all ages are welcome to learn from a drummer with 20 years of experience and a master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. I am multilingual and have a holistic approach to teaching, carefully creating unique lessons to meet the needs of each individual student. I have experience playing all styles of music and I love to share my knowledge and experience, so the course can take the direction you want. For beginners, I have many lessons to get you playing with proper technique from the start so you avoid injuries and bad habits from posture and grip. For advanced students, I can provide technical challenges and share with you the most modern concepts and techniques used today.
