About Me

Fico is a Colombian guitarist driven by a deep passion for performance, composition, and the exploration of new sounds. He trained at the University of Antioquia under Fabio Arboleda and Bernardo Cardona, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Belgium), where he is developing his artistic approach alongside Magali Rischette and Vincent Dùbes.

His musical universe lies at the intersection of several traditions: classical guitar, Latin American popular music, and contemporary creation. This diversity fosters an open and exploratory artistic approach.

Born into a family of luthiers and musicians, he grew up in an environment deeply connected to music and instrument making. This heritage is a significant source of inspiration, particularly through instruments like the tiple, the guitar, and the charango, which he showcases in his work as a performer.

Whether performing solo, in chamber music, or in various artistic projects, Sebastián is also interested in new forms of musical creation. In particular, he explores how technology, artificial intelligence, and human composition can interact and enrich each other.

I am a conservatory-educated guitar teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience who has recently moved to Brussels.
