About Me
Arno was born in Lausanne in 1996.
After a music-oriented school career, he spent two years in the preparatory section of the EJMA in Lausanne, where he developed his playing and his approach to his instrument, the electric guitar. In 2017, he entered the Haute Ecole de Lausanne (HEMU) in the Musiques Actuelles section. There, he will meet his contemporaries and mentors. He will complete his Bachelor's degree in 2020. His airy, textured playing will lead him to the key synthesizers of the 70s, which will complete his palette on stage and in the studio.
After some 500 concerts, Arno will have performed in Switzerland and abroad, working with artists such as Aliose, Etienne Machine, Caroline Alves, Billie Bird, Monument, Nnavy, Ash the Ash, Félix Rabin, Dominique Hunziker... and performed at venues such as Pully's Octogone, Amalgame, Balélec, Label Suisse, Fri-Son, Festi'neuch, Le Chant du Gros, Le Romandie, la Case à Choc, Montreux Jazz Festival, PALP, 100 Club (UK), Paléo Festival (Vega) and the Letzigrund Stadion, opening for English band Coldplay in front of 40,000 people.
Arno also took part in a European tour in a play by Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre, a project which allowed him to play in several major theaters in Central Europe.
Alongside his work as a guitarist, Arno has also been involved in composing, producing, arranging and writing for a number of projects, including Etienne Machine, Monument, Ash the Ash, ... These projects have enabled him to build up a solid network in French-speaking Switzerland, and to familiarize himself with the media contexts of the music world through interviews on paper and radio, such as Couleur 3, Option Musique, La 1ère and 24 Heures, where he regularly returns to present his various projects, many of which are supported by professional structures including Humus Records, Glad We Met, Irascible Music, Blizzard Audio Club and Sony Music Switzerland.
Arno has also composed for various films at the Ceruleum and ECAL schools, work which has given him a mastery of composition and recording software such as Ableton Live and Logic Pro.
In addition to his musical practice, Arno has been giving private guitar and Computer-Aided Music (CAM) lessons since 2016. From 2021, he will begin to substitute teach at the EJMA in Lausanne, where he will teach Ableton Live and Logic Pro to individuals and groups.
