About Me

I have been a saxophone teacher for six years. During this time, I have taught beginner students, whom I have prepared to enter the most prestigious conservatories in Italy.
I am in continuing education and I enjoy having students of all ages to grow and improve with them.

I am a Clarinet, Saxophone and Vocal coach from Zimbabwe with over a decade of teaching and performance experience from leading a successful solo career and working as a music teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz singing from Haute Ecole de Musique (HEMU) Lausanne where I am currently studying a Masters in Jazz Pedagogy. I have also studied music in Dublin Ireland, where I acquired a Higher Certificate in Jazz and Contemporary Music from Newpark Music Centre's Berklee Track program which is facilitated by Berklee College of Music in Boston. I was the 2024 laureat of the Foundation Casino Barrier Award for talent and creativity and a 2018 winner of the Zimbabwean National Arts Council's National Arts Merit Award (NAMA). Saxophonist graduate and teacher at the music school of Thoiry, I offer my lessons for all levels and all ages.

After a double training in classical and jazz, I currently teach classical saxophone, jazz, big band and saxophone ensemble.

The lessons are generally separated into two parts with a rather technical / music theory part and a more playful part where we can play duets, pieces with piano accompaniment or jazz standards. I also sometimes bring all my students together on afternoons to be able to play a saxophone ensemble, it's very educational!
