About Me

I am a full-time percussionist and love to discover new instruments, styles, sounds, people and worlds all the time. My main instruments are frame drum, darbuka, cajon and bodhrán, but I play many more and combine them with each other or with drum set elements. For me, teaching is not just the transfer of knowledge, but also interpersonal exchange, getting to know each other, interacting and discovering together.

Education

I did my Bachelor in Latin Percussion in Nuremberg and then my Master in Turkish Percussion in Rotterdam. At the same time, I have always been involved in many different musical projects and thus gained a lot of practical experience.

Experience / Qualifications

I had workshops with the frame drum masters Zohar Fresco (labyrinth, Crete) and Yshai Afterman (Tamburi Mundi, Freiburg). In addition, I had lessons with Heinricht Klingmann, Roland Peil (Fanta4), Udo Demandt and Alper Kekeç during my studies.

I offer piano lessons and music theory courses for students (including prospective students), schoolchildren and young people, advanced and experienced and simply interested people in Leipzig. I completed my Master of Composition at the Royal College of Music in London last summer and have now moved back to Leipzig. Since the lessons were held in English, English- or Dutch-speaking students are also welcome.
Leipzig is a stronghold of music and many students want to start discovering their musicality as a child. Learning to play the piano is sometimes the best way to get to know the diverse and special languages of the musical world.
