A HEALTHY VOICE
Singing should always be comfortable; we discuss in class the techniques of vocal placement and breathing in order to avoid all kinds of problems with his voice.

MUSCLE MEMORY
When you sing a passage and repeat it several times, the brain remembers this action. It develops what is called "muscle memory". During voice training it is very important to concentrate and try to avoid mistakes that could cause constrictions (repetitive muscle tension). We will learn to recognize the sensation of a sound produced in the correct way, in order to record healthy movements in our muscle memory.

LEARN TO TRUST
A tense body cannot produce clear and in tune notes, because the vocal cords become compressed by the muscles, and the rib cage fails to fill enough. Along with breathing exercises in singing, relaxation techniques are an essential aspect of vocal preparation. This helps to thwart stage fright, and will encourage you to discover the many possibilities that sit within you, with the key to a reinforced esteem and a very useful confidence to dare to sing.

PERSONALIZED TRAINING PROGRAM
With each student, we create their own vocal training program taking into account the technical difficulties to be improved. You can also adapt it according to your own needs, tastes and the training time you have available for detailed work, taking into consideration timbre, vowels, tonality and volume.

About Me
I started music early in a conservatory in violin and lyrical singing. Demotivated by the strict framework of classical education, I pursued my path as an autodidact. I followed a training course in jazz singing and vocal improvisation and numerous workshops.

I also validated a bts in current music production (MAO; logic, ableton, pro tools, cubase) in Wroclaw, which allowed me to work with people from the local and national music scene and develop numerous projects and produce my personal compositions.
Education
Currently in the 3rd year of a musicology degree specializing in jazz and improvised music, I continue my research on polyphony, vocal techniques and improvisation. I specialize in current music styles such as rnb, soul or hip-hop but also gospel and jazz. I am obviously open to working according to the personal tastes of my students, which also allows me to discover new horizons.
Experience / Qualifications
I am currently performing on stage in projects:

Damébochi: a French neo soul band
- lead vocals & vocal arrangements

Oshun: a vocal ensemble of 12 female voices under the direction of Sophie Soliveau
- soul/rnb/gospel compositions and arrangements
- circle song: vocal improvisations

Classical singing choir:
- diverse and varied repertoire; songs of renaissance and romance

Indian music is enjoying growing success with Western audiences. Because more and more artists are performing in our latitudes (especially in venues such as the Théâtre de la Ville, the Musée Guimet in Paris, etc.), and also because the discovery of music with a traditional system of learning arouses the interest of many people who would like to approach music differently; and there are many links between the Indian and Western tradition, due to the universal character of music but also to the fact that India has been able to preserve modes of transmission that have long since disappeared in the West, but which have nothing to envy in terms of efficiency. to modern methods.

I propose learning the song of North India, in the dhrupad style, the oldest still transmitted today. Its advantage is that it offers a gradual approach to ragas (musical motifs that could be compared to modes), note by note, without the need for prior knowledge or talent as a virtuoso: the practice is based on the 'listen. Over the course of practice, it nevertheless makes it possible to acquire a great mastery of the voice.

The lesson, which lasts one hour (half for children), takes place accompanied by the tampura, an instrument that gives the "drone" or fundamental/tonic note. It is from this persistent note that the student will learn to place his voice, to find the correctness of tone and timbre. This is done gently, the pace of learning adapting to that of the student.
In addition, the achievements in this style of singing can always be useful later for other styles of music, even outside India, up to jazz and classical/baroque music.
My apprenticeship was for twelve years with one of the 19th generation masters teaching this tradition, Ustad H. Sayeeduddin Dagar, belonging to the illustrious family which made this style and Indian music known in the West in the years 1960. It has now continued for four years with his nephew Ustad F. Wasifuddin Dagar.

Lessons are private, or in weekly workshops in Paris near Bastille (see my website musicosophe[point]fr).

Singing lessons and vocal coaching online or at the singing teacher (M° Gallieni Line 3).
I am a vocal coach at Cours Florent for 7 years, also coach for the shows of Disneyland Paris and also at the Conservatoire de Paris 7th, as well as in private classes (pros or amateur).
State graduate (diploma of vocal trainer from Richard Cross School). Trained in the Joe Estill Voice training method (Quebec), I also attended singing classes with Nicole Falien, Julia Pelaez, Joy Kane and Christiane Legrand.
Coach in French and English of various professional or amateur artists for more than ten years (all styles, from rap to "Musical", from song to electronics and everything related to current music, recently I coached a lyrical artist "lead" of the musical "La petite boutique des horreurs" at the Opéra comique this season).
My classes are for all: singers and/ or musicians, professional or amateur singers-composers, preparations for auditions/ castings, recordings in studio, coaching of groups in play, artists in studio, all ages all styles welcome! )
Work of the voice in all current musical repertoires except lyrical.
I accompany you to the piano, where we can work on your instruments, various accompaniments, karaoke.
Welcome rap (I have more and more rappers/slammers, we do important work on the flow, the projection, the installation of breaths, rhythmic adjustments, intelligibility of the text etc.) all work easily when we know how and when we want to evolve !

Being also singer-songwriter and pianist, I can help you develop your compositions, your songs, place the tonic accents where it is necessary, teach you to accompany yourself on the piano itself:-) work on the interpretation of songs of course. Prepare your studio sessions (and/or accompany you if necessary), before your concerts, rehearsals...Give you the tips to not get tired, and know how to repair your voice when you have pushed too much, and especially teach you to project your voice without hurting yourself, etc.
In short, to provide you with solid and indispensable bases to sing healthily (without getting hurt!) and freely!

For distance courses (if you prefer, I do it regularly, especially since two years, and also with my students abroad), as long as you have a computer, it’s gone (or at worst a smartphone)!
In short, I will tell you everything you need to know to release your voice!

The difference between «vocal coaching» and «singing lessons» is that I take the singer, the actor the actress, the rapper(s) in the vocal state in which he/she arrives, and I take him/her and take him/her where he/she wants to go, with the repertoire you choose, which can be yours (songwriter), or the one you choose or that I can help you choose according to your range and your musical tastes of course.
I do "with" you, with what you are, with what you bring me as "raw material"! There is always something to do to move forward, no matter what your starting level! :)

It can also be just a moment for you, just for the pleasure of singing, whatever you want!
Singing is life! ;-)
