From your very first lesson, you’ll start learning a real song! I teach the fundamentals of guitar through carefully selected songs, giving you the opportunity to start making music right away. Once you’ve learned the basics, you get to choose songs you actually want to play, and we use those songs to continue building your skills and expanding what you can do on the guitar. I believe learning guitar is much more enjoyable when you get to play the music you listen to and love. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, I’ll help you develop the skills you need while keeping lessons fun and motivating. About Me
Hello, and welcome! My name is Taryna.
Music has been part of my life since I was a child — I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old, and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to express creativity. As an adult, I finally reached a lifelong goal of learning piano as well, which gave me a deep understanding of what it feels like to learn a new instrument later in life.
Although I absolutely love playing music, teaching is my true passion. I’ve been teaching children and adults since 2015, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in education along with multiple ESL certifications. My experience includes working in elementary schools, running an art and music school, and teaching music online.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my baby girl on our farm, surrounded by our dogs, cats, horses, and cows. I believe that my personal experiences as a mom and a farmer taught me the importance of nurturing growth and promoting a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to sharing my love for music and teaching with my students and helping them reach their full potential.

I have over 11 years of experience teaching in Elementary schools, tutoring Math and Reading independently to kids Grade 2 through college, teaching private and group guitar and piano lessons, and teaching English to students from around the word online. I also hold a Kansas State Teaching License in Elementary Education (K-6) and have certifications in TEFL, TESOL, and ESOL. With my years of experience I have honed my skills in creating engaging lesson plans, encouraging student curiosity, adapting to different settings and requirements, providing one-on-one and group setting instruction, and fostering a positive and empowering learning environment. My teaching approach is characterized by enthusiasm and patience, focusing on instilling a growth mindset in students and catering to various learning styles.
