I offer individual private lessons for beginners to advanced players – tailored to your pace and musical goals.

Individual private lessons (ages 5 and up)
Technique, timing, reading music, and improvisation

Practical lessons on acoustic or electronic drum sets

About Me

Hello drummers!
I'm Timothy, 34 years old, from Frankfurt am Main, Germany. I've been teaching drums for over 10 years and I live for helping you improve on the coolest instrument in the world, the drums! I tailor my lessons entirely to your individual needs and try to meet you exactly where you are right now. I have designed many practice sheets myself and incorporated my years of experience into them. Can't read music yet? No problem, we'll take it step by step.
I have been a professional drummer for over 10 years and have played in many different bands. (Among others, The Tiger Lillis, I have done film music with Iggy Pop for a documentary and have played with Violet Greens, Tony Osanah, Tony Lakatos, Teeya Lamee, Ballet School, Young Echtes, Vermillion Sands Beach Club Band, Moritz Land Trio, Timothy Trio, Vincent Meissner, Gellert Szabo, Felix Wahnschaffe, among others.

Education

I was a drum teacher at a municipal music school in Germany for seven years. I have references and certificates if you want to see. I am a calm, motivating teacher.

I studied jazz/popular music at a state university in Leipzig.I have been playing in various bands for over 20 years (punk, funk, pop, jazz, big band, folk, rock, metal, hip hop). I have recorded four studio albums with the band ‘The Tiger Lillies’. Individual songs have over 1 million views.

Hi!
I’m a professional drummer. I graduated from the Vienna Jazz Konservatorium in Austria and have been living in Lisbon since 2016.
I shared the stage with a many great musicians and performed all over Europe.

I teach all styles of music (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Funk, etc), technique, reading music and music history.

I give classes to beginners, intermediate, advanced students and also help prepare students for university entrance exam.

Every student is different, has their own pace of learning and approach, but the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the process of progress.

ABOUT HOW TO TAKE CLASSES

My methodology is based on the student's interests, adapting to their preferred genres and supporting the student according to their goals, from those who want to be able to play an instrument as a hobby to those who want to train as a professional musician.

It doesn't matter what level you start at! My priority is to create an environment where you feel comfortable, set small challenges to make learning exciting and see your progress through these achievements. We will use a comprehensive approach where we will combine theory with practice from the beginning, so that you are able to understand in depth what you are playing.
