Geni is a saxophonist and flautist specialising in; jazz, funk, reggae, pop, and soul. As a musician she has played in every conceivable genre from Black Star (formally Carcass) to Michael Franti and Spearhead, Jackie Lomax to Michael League and Co. As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 13 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and WaterBear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 15 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note. As a producer Geni had her tracks toured as support for Public Enemy in the UK and has had tracks placed on adverts. In education, Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and Waterbear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

Learning a new instrument is an exciting, incredible skill! The saxophone is a wonderful instrument that not many people know how to play. I can provide a saxophone for you to play so you can try out the instrument before deciding to purchase one. Preferably ages 9 and over as the saxophone is quite heavy. Extra fee per lesson where saxophone hire is needed.

I have a Bachelors degree in contemporary songwriting & performance, plus years of experience playing in my own jazz / pop bands as well as function projects where we cover a whole range of genre.

- Learning to read and use online materials such as chord sheets, jazz lead charts & learning from ear.
