I’m Amina, a certified English teacher with experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults, both online and in person.

I hold a BA in English Linguistics, TEFL and TESOL certifications, and additional training in instructional design from the University of Illinois, which enables me to structure lessons that are clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I have also taught in a school setting, working with children and teens aged 6 to 16, as well as privately online.

My lessons are friendly, calm, and encouraging, while still being results-oriented. I believe students learn best when they feel safe, understood, and gently challenged. Whether your goal is to improve general English, gain confidence in conversation, or support school learning, I adapt each lesson to your level, pace, and personality.

About Me

I have experience teaching both in schools and privately, working with children, teenagers, and adults. My students range from beginners to intermediate learners, and I also support those preparing for school exams or who want to improve their conversational skills and confidence.

I'm an American and English is my first language. I offer conversational English lessons for those looking to become fluent or to remove accents when speaking.

For children under 7 years old I focus on vocabulary, asking questions, and understanding instructions while playing games, building blocks, reading books, etc.. For children 7 years old and older, I focus on vocabulary, clarity in speech, pronunciation, how to hear and follow 2 and 3 part instructions, and other areas upon request.
