If there's one thing I can promise, it's that you won't be bored with me! I know that learning English, particularly the grammar (looking at you, irregular past participles) can be a challenge, but I'm here to try and make things seem much less scary. I'm currently working with children and teenagers, so I really do understand the importance of learning through fun, and making things as clear and simple as possible.

I'm a native English speaker ad qualified TEFL teacher, and I've been teaching in France for almost a year. I have experience teaching both adults and children - my youngest student is 3 years old, and my oldest was 76. Although I prefer an immersion style of teaching (always speaking in English), I realise that there occasionally difficulties with translating words here and there, so my knowledge of French can also be helpful. I'm currently studying for a BA in English and French, so I'd be happy to approach your studies from a literary, cultural or linguistic angle.

Instead of telling you what you'll learn, I'm here for you to tell me what you want. Of course, we'll do a diagnostic session, and I might give you some (friendly) advice about what I think you need, but ultimately, what I can offer are lessons that are entirely tailored to you. We can spend the hour on the past simple vs the present perfect. We can spend the hour analysing your favourite book using various literary theories (yes, even Harry Potter). We can spend the hour focusing entirely on conversation - your fluency, accuracy and intonation. I speak the Queen's English, so I like to think that I'm easy to understand, and hopefully you'll be speaking like a BBC presenter in no time!

I'll stop there, as this is getting dangerously long, so please do get in touch and I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have, or provide you with a sample lesson plan.

I look forward to hearing from you!
