Master student at Sciences Po Lyon, I can give lessons in several subjects in maths, history, English, economics and help with homework until high school. With me, your child will learn to have a real working method so that he can eventually work independently. My lessons are prepared upstream to best suit the student and in agreement with him and the parents. I have many experiences in private lessons and tutoring. I am currently part of several school support organizations and I have several private students during the week. I have been teaching for two years now. With me, your child is in good hands for his academic success.

I always adapt to the student I have. I try to understand its shortcomings and work to the maximum while consolidating its strengths. I work mostly with exercises that allow the student to face difficulties and we discuss together how best to respond to this. My horraires can be flexible depending on what you are looking for.

For those who do not understand anything in their history or English classes, do not worry, I'm here to help you. For history classes, it can be done in French or English, depending on level and requests. For English classes, I will promote a conversation exclusively in English, for beginners, I will adapt.

I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

This course introduces secondary and sixth-form students to the evolution of global civilizations, with a focus on comparative history, political thought, and social transformation. Drawing on 30+ years of experience teaching History and Liberal Studies in Hong Kong—including at A-Level and university level—I guide students through themes such as colonialism, revolutions, global conflicts, and modern political ideologies. Each lesson combines primary source analysis, critical discussion, and structured writing skills (essays, arguments, and document-based questions). Beginning with the agricultural revolution, and then the industrial revolution, and then the World Wars, investigate what led up to the Cold War. Investigate the irony of thw historical streams colliding into one with the irony of many newly liberated countries being sucked into the global battle being waged in the north. A look at a dozen of so case examples, to include Korea, Guatemala, Iran, Cuba, Chile, the Congo, Indonesia, Vietnam, Chile, Nicaragua, and Honduras, of the consequences of the Cold War. A look at modern events from Iran, the migration crisis, Cuba, Venezuela, Russian and Ukraine through the lens of the Cold War never having ended.

I am a history teacher, having graduated with honors from UNLu and honored by the National Academy of History as the highest national average. I have been focused on private education for over half a decade, both at the academic and secondary levels. Beyond my specific academic training, I have been dedicated to the study of history and social sciences for 20 years (and to the creation of a library—of almost 2,000 volumes—that is available to students: if any material is required, it is digitized and sent). I specialize in ancient history, medieval history, Argentine history, history of religions, and more. I have extensive knowledge of philosophy, theology, and the history of ideas. I also teach classes in politics, sociology, anthropology, art history, economics, and other social sciences that make up the corpus of history as a discipline.
