Knowledge of the English language is important, as its becoming a universal language. Unfortunately, not everyone has the confidence to speak English. I would like to share my knowledge and use of the English language with others in a small session (private or small group). I believe that patience is of the utmost importance and am willing to help as best as possible. Some knowledge of the English language is necessary and is conversational only.

About Me

I enjoy cooking, exercising, and watching films. I would say that I am a damn good cook, but do not ask me to bake. I make the best homemade American pancakes. I love playing sports and working out; favorite sports are football (not american football) and basketball. I also teach the basic steps to salsa, bachata, and merengue. I would really love to learn some yoga. I love movies! Favorite movies of all time are the breakfast club, Jurassic park, and pretty much all the Quentin Taratino films. I am also a huge Marvel fan, you can even ask me about the comics. I liked Marvel before all the MCU movies came out. Game of Thrones quite possibly my favorite TV show along with Futurama and that 70's show.

I can offer English tutoring for grades 3 through to DP2 in IB English. I passed the IB with a consistent 7 in English Language and Literature (the highest English course available) and received full marks for most of my assignments. I can help with fundamental concepts, understanding of what is expected to meet the IB's requirements, and how to answer the questions and do the assignments to meet the specific expectations of the IB. I am also available to help with the completion of assignments (in terms of guiding, correcting, and suggestions) and with whatever course work is assigned (including any books that are assigned.)

I provide tutoring and homework support for English. This does not only concern English grammar, spelling and vocabulary, but also reading comprehension, literature and translation theories.

In my lessons I focus entirely on what you need help with. For example, if you would like extra explanation about things you run into, or would like guidance with homework or when preparing a paper, a book summary or a speaking assignment, I would be happy to help you with that!

I keep the classes flexible. For example, these can always be canceled and they do not have to be scheduled with much time in advance. I want to keep my relationship with the student and parents personal, as I am only a student myself.

As for English, I was raised in an international school environment where English was a core part of my education from childhood through high school. Learn English with me, Lorenzo, a native English speaker from London with over 6 years English teaching experience and a CELTA qualification.
