About Me

My name is Ignacio and I love watching movies, climbing and I am currently learning to program web pages.

I love teaching, the feeling of passing knowledge on to another person is the best there is and helping them discover
concepts is what is rewarding as a teacher. I consider myself a dialogue teacher, who loves to have discussions with his
students about different topics, put the point of view on the table. Having taught in different countries
has opened the door to see different cultural realities, I am always willing to learn something new and I do it every
days.

In one-to-one classes, I first make a diagnosis of knowledge, generally oral or written. Based on that I base my

I am a Spanish native teacher, with extensive experience teaching Spanish to foreign students at from primary and secondary levels and higher education. I have taught American and UK students over the last seven years, whilst pursuing my studies in Spain and in the United Kingdom. I was recently awarded my PhD, through which I learnt methodological aspects of teaching different types of public from different backgrounds.

My classes are dynamic and centred on the student's progress, carrying out different interactive activities, role-playing and exercises that will make the student increase his/her confidence with the use of Spanish, whilst learning grammar and vocabulary. I usually give the students the opportunity to send me writings that I correct at home, and I recommend listening activities that will help the student to improve his/her understanding of the language during lessons. My complete proficiency of the English language makes it easier for the student to ask specific questions or to understand how some expressions work in Spanish, having my English explanation at hand (in order to make them fully understand the most difficult aspect of Spanish).
