Reading and creative writing classes, as well as writing articles and essays.
From 30.37 £ /h
Both reading and writing are disciplines that require, today more than ever, periodic exercise and constant encouragement. For this, it is convenient to know the concerns and interest in the different subjects of each reader, regardless of their age.
We must bear in mind that we are facing a paradigm shift and that technological progress affects our ways of communicating: the language we use as and the different forms of expression.
To encourage children, as well as adolescents, to read, we need to motivate them, provide them with tools that allow them to discover the expressive and playful possibilities that these activities entail. In this way they will be able to face this activity in an active and participatory way, and not just passive (responding to a duty imposed by a teacher).
These tools will be useful both for carrying out their homework and for acquiring greater skill and interest in the art of critically analyzing each subject they read, as well as for composing their own articles, essays, and narratives.
And all this through the enjoyment that centuries of stories have given us.

About Me
My interest in teaching stems from an experience I had as a student many years ago. I studied "Cinema and TV Directing", an entirely vocational career, however there was a teacher (one among more than thirty that I had throughout the 4 years of study) who stood out far above the rest, awakening in me a passion for reading and the technical and plot procedures of films that I had not experienced until then.
From then on I decided that, upon graduating, I would be a writing teacher. It was not my only trade, since I alternated it with other disciplines related to artistic work, but I never completely put it aside. I worked as a script teacher at Taller de cine and other private film schools, and in 2013 I founded, with two other teachers, the Boadilla del Monte Film School for Children and Adolescents.
My experience with students was always very enriching, being for me the main source of didactic learning. From the students I learn, from the reading and viewing exercises that I propose, new research and teaching tools that facilitate and make the experience of reading and oral and written expression more attractive. And the approach, of young people, to books: textbooks and stories, as well as movies, which always serve as inspiring material.
In this way, my development as a teacher and coordinator of reading and writing workshops is in constant feedback, and the techniques and exercises that I propose (many times through games) are continuously enriched.
In a time of increasing difficulty to assimilate texts that require prolonged attention, it seems to me more necessary than ever to acquire techniques that allow us to approach this kind of content in a pleasant -and efficient- way.
After all, words are a flexible and versatile material that lends itself to a wide variety of games and an almost inexhaustible inventiveness through which to channel our imagination.
