About Me
Hi! It's nice to meet you! I hope I get the chance to help you with your English because I truly love teaching. I teach ages 1-16 in a Colegio in Torrejon de Ardoz, and I love every moment with my kiddos. I am very energetic, friendly, and out-going and you won't have to worry about feeling shy or nervous to practice with me.
My belief is that when people are comfortable, they are much more likely to succeed and excel in languages. For that reason, I do everything in my power to make students feel comfortable, confident and excited to learn. I welcome mistakes with open arms because after all, mistakes are the best way to learn when it comes to new languages.
A little bit about me...
I am from the United States, specifically from Pennsylvania, however, I went to school at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Psychology & Spanish Language. I love to travel and have travelled and studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain and Valparaíso, Chile.
I have worked with children for over 6 years in various settings: schools, research labs, psychology clinics, and NGOs...I have a clear passion for working with children and strongly believe that we learn as much from them as they learn from us.
In my free time, I am an avid reader, I love to sing and play instruments, and I am a big fan of musicals and theatre. I also love spending time with my friends and exploring nature and the city of Madrid.

Education
I graduated from the University of Kentucky with an average GPA of 3.89 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology & Spanish Language. During my time in university, I studied in Sevilla, Spain for 8 months and later in Valparaiso, Chile for a summer completing an internship with an NGO for vulnerable youth.
Experience / Qualifications
As far as my experience with children, I have worked with children in various educational settings for over 6 years. Some of that experience includes volunteering as a tutor for elementary-aged children, completing an internship with a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the educational abilities of vulnerable youth in Valparaíso, Chile and working as the Developmental Coordinator for a small NGO in Lexington, Kentucky that is dedicated to helping enhance students educational abilities in an after-school setting for children living in poverty. Currently, I am completing a course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language that will be completed by May.
In terms of working with adults, I have many friends who speak English as a second language and have immensely helped them improve upon their skills in a number of ways: the main ones being through conversation and providing a comfortable environment for them to feel confident practicing and improving upon their abilities.
