Guitar classes in Chamberí and the city centre. All styles and levels.

From 26 £ /h

I have been playing guitar for years and studying harmony and musical language. I have played in several groups of different styles: pop, rock, blues, jazz, soul, funk. I don't think that a gift is necessary to learn to play an instrument. The important thing is to practice and a teaching that enhances playfulness. You have to have fun with music, it shouldn't be an obligation. Each person has their own goals and their own path and I adapt to that. Eminently practical. Chords, fingerpicking, scales and modes, rhythms, theory and modern harmony, blues, rock, pop, funk, jazz, improvisation, music theory. Technique: fingers, pick, hybrid technique, legato.

Chamberí area. We can arrange a short online interview to check the student's level and set goals.

I can teach classes in English.
You can learn to play the guitar at any age and from any musical level.
If you feel stuck, I can help you get unstuck.

I work with a dynamic attitude, using ease to communicate in public, both live and by phone or virtually, I try to convey the illusion that Music gives me back. With versatility, I seek to establish ways to meet the needs of the student, thus perfecting my goals as a teacher. Delighted to learn and expand horizons with each experience.

In addition to teaching in general, the objective of the classes is personalized, it proposes to strengthen the natural abilities of the student, thus increasing his creative horizon, through a playful and fun system; learning, perfecting and playing.

My goal is to give enough tools to not need me or, in other words, use what I have learned to continue learning ...

An ideal basic method for anyone who wants to learn classical guitar from scratch, or someone who wants to improve their technique.
Guitar classes designed to provide the student with the necessary resources to develop creativity and musical sensitivity naturally, easily, quickly and effectively.
I use the material of my teachers Abel Carlevaro and Eduardo Castañera, who have a great concern with the technique of the instrument and musical interpretation.
The classes also teach the theory of musical reading (score and figures), music theory, etc.
Concert guitarist Carlos Bica will be in Madrid and Ciudad Real teaching classes. These classes last one hour, once a week individually. Beginner, intermediate and advanced students of all ages, children and adults, will be accepted.
For those who seek to be professionals and with the purpose of being able to respond to challenges with solvency and a level of excellence that distinguishes them, you can find it here. Music lovers are also welcome, who will enjoy getting to know this world better and want to learn to enjoy music. I wait for you.

If you've been playing guitar for a while and want to improve your guitar skills, this is the class you should take! We'll cover advanced chord tensions, how to apply them, improvising over different chords, cadence, and minor, major, and modal contexts.

We can also review how to build a melody with chords, which could be a bit more advanced.

We will use the same materials as Berklee College of Music to guide our path through this beautiful process of discovering the guitar.

I prefer to teach with the person physically present, both because it makes the student feel more comfortable, and so do I as the educator; however, if there's a problem, I think we could arrange for online teaching.

Over fifteen years of experience as a professional musician have led me to understand and appreciate a wide variety of styles. I have advanced musical training with an official degree (higher degree in jazz and contemporary music). I am a guitarist, both electric and acoustic, and an expert in styles such as country, blues, rock and roll, and soul.

I love teaching classes to all kinds of people who love music and are motivated to advance, starting from any level. If this is your first time with the instrument, I'd be happy to guide you through your first steps, giving you the essential guidelines that will guide you throughout your musical journey. If you already have some experience but want to take that leap forward, I'll give you the necessary tools to study the instrument in greater depth, as well as theoretical content and a varied repertoire. If you're an advanced student, already skilled in various styles and with some knowledge of scales, chords, techniques, and music theory, we'll face the challenge of reaching a higher level on the guitar together.
