Trusted teacher: Over 16+ years now, my students have been passing their English/ESL exams and have been able to tremendously improve their English skills to the point where they are able to now speak like Western native speakers! Essay writing is a huge area of focus in my classes as well! Not only do I and my team work with exam instructors to get the most up-to-date exam requirements, but also provide to the student the most focused strategies that are EASY TO UNDERSTAND, FAST TO LEARN AND FOCUSED ON A PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH CURRICULUM. I myself have scored 8.5 in IELTS and have helped my students achieve maximum scores as well: IELTS: 9 band (over a hundred cases) TOEFL: 120 points (56 cases) SAT: Full marks (45 cases) CELPIP: 12/12 (over 300 cases!) This excludes the thousands of other students who have been able to secure university entries or who have qualified for top-notch jobs thanks to their newly-learnt English skills. Likewise, these successes are the reasons why I love my job and continue teaching. Every day, I work hard towards achieving student results. The very moment they pass and thank me is something I live for day and night! With my TEFL certification, years of experience, work with examiners, professional training for English teaching skills, background of working with students from all backgrounds, and most importantly DOCUMENTED TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES, I am sure that your requirements for your next learning venture will be guaranteed and pleasing!
Trusted teacher: I am a 23 years old native French speaker. I was born in Lyon. I completed last year in the Hague. I lived in France until the age of 12. Then I moved to Oslo in Norway and lived there until the age of 20. Between the age of 20 and the time I was living in the Hague, I was studying in Manchester and now I am back. For all these reasons, I am used to be surrounded by people from different countries. I often notice that France and French language awakes curiosity amongst my international friends. Therefore, I would enjoy giving French individual private lessons to strangers who are so interested about France that they would like/need to learn or speak better French. I can do conversations in France, bring support in French grammar and declinations, and look at written works.
Hello My name is Matilda and I'm a Secondary Maths teacher in an outstanding school. Prior to teaching I have 7 years experience in education by being a high level maths teaching assistant and tutoring. I gained my secondary maths PGCE from Manchester metropolitan university and I also have a degree in Economics I have always believed there is more than one way to teach mathematics which is why I learn about the children and assess how they learn, which enables me to plan series of lessons that suit their needs. I am available for tutoring immediately. I usually start out by doing some standard questions in the first two sessions, but after I've picked up where my tutee may be struggling (or if they ask me for specific help) I make a personalised timetable of study - which usually includes a manageable amount of extra work. I am able to tutor Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm. I can also accommodate weekend sessions if that suits. I look forward to helping you out!
You’ll improve on grammar difficulties, vocabulary, pronunciation & exam preparation. Tutoring can also incorporate support in cultural/topical themes depending on personal interests or school study foci. Tutor a recent graduate in French from the University of Edinburgh

I have recently finished my MA in History at the University of Edinburgh. I also have a keen interest in Geography, Geology and Archaeology and would love to help students with any of these topics as well. I can focus on any specific areas that students might want to work on whether GCSE or A Level, such as essay writing or understanding particular topics. The one-to-one experience means that in each lesson we can focus on whatever each specific student needs support with.

My teaching approach is that all students are capable of being excellent English students, and with a little guidance each student can make progress every lesson. I try to make learning English a fun and engaging activity, so I encourage as much conversation as possible. I try to tailor my lessons to each student so that they are personal and involve the student's interests and hobbies. I encourage practise in the four main areas of the subject: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. I feel this is the best way for students to build their confidence and to develop their key skills. At the end of each lesson I always focus on areas of strength and one area that can be developed further, but always with a thought of the student's well-being too.

I always encourage my students to practice no matter if they are learning for hobby or for possible future studies. I always adjust my lessons to the needs of the student. I teach grades when students when to give their exams. I also encourage the Suzuki method as I believe it has a wide range of knowledge and repertoire and builds a strong musicianship. If the level of some students is higher and they are interested in studying music, I will try teach more like a conservatoire method, using piano repertoire only, studies if need to, to help the student build up her/his pianistic and musical skills at the best. I always try to give feedback to my students about their work within a specific period and also I often ask them their opinion on a new suggestion of a piece or idea I might have. Mainly I do that to understand what each student needs and wants to learn and accordingly make my plan of the lessons. When I see a student is more independent, musically, I give them choices between pieces and give them tasks to decide on their own. In my teaching methods I include online tutoring. I started teaching online when I moved outside London and kept some of my teaching. It is a very different approach but a very fun one too. Especially at these times we are right now, I find significant to keep sharing our knowledge with young children. It is important to keep inspiring people and especially young kids with music. That way we encourage each other that life will soon get better and the situation shouldn't let affect our lives.
I am experienced in teaching Maths at GCSE level, both in schools and privately. I will tailor every session to the learning styles and requirements of each student, and will endeavour to ensure that their goals are met. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this further!

Laura - Manchester£25
Trusted teacher: Hi! My name’s Laura and I am a friendly Maths and English tutor. Although the classes usually have a fun vibe, I am dedicated to my students reaching their full potential. For example, although I have only one review here having recently started using Apprentus, one the students I tutored went from a D average student to a now independent A average student. My preferred teaching method for Maths is going over attempted questions with my students during class time and paying particular attention to the topics which are hard to grasp. For English, I teach mostly conversational English, and usually do so through role-playing. However, I am flexible when it comes to my tutoring method. I can teach both Maths and English in the same class slot if requested!

I am native Spanish who has previous experience as language tutor for different audiences and levels. My teaching methodology is very flexible and completely adaptable to the students needs and goal. My objective is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed.
Classes will include: conversations, vocabulary, grammar and writing. All classes will begin with: Opening of grammar rules and vocabulary learning, accompanied by a final essay and then entering into debate.
The purpose of my classes is to make the subject a little lighter by turning learning into something more enjoyable and fun, so the student gets more motivated and puts more effort into it. I assign homework sometimes but I think that is important not to overwhelm the student.
