Singing lessons in Brussels: vocal technique, breathing and interpretation
From 45 £ /h
I offer individual lessons tailored to each student's experience, desires, and needs.
The body plays a significant role in vocal work. We explore breath in both spoken and sung voice through vocal, physical, and theatrical exercises. The sessions also include relaxation and tension-release exercises that you can incorporate into your daily life.
We work on the songs you want to sing, according to your tastes and musical interests. I can also suggest songs to help you discover new musical styles or explore certain aspects of singing in more depth.
When the opportunity arises, we also sing together, to develop listening skills and share the joy of making music. If you wish, we can also explore writing lyrics and performing them, using your own words or texts we create together.

About Me
I am Irene, a jazz singer, composer, improviser and teacher of Italian music, based in Brussels.
My background combines artistic practice with teaching. I enjoy guiding each student in discovering their voice, taking into account their experience, desires, and musical sensitivity.
My approach fosters a dialogue between vocal technique, body awareness, listening, and creativity. I incorporate exercises from theater to explore breathing, relaxation, and expression in both spoken and sung voice. We choose the pieces together, based on your preferences, and we also have the opportunity to explore improvisation and songwriting.
Alongside teaching, I develop artistic projects around composition, collective improvisation and the links between voice and movement.
