Ableton & MaxMSP Lessons - in a͓̽m͓̽s͓̽t͓̽e͓̽r͓̽d͓̽a͓̽m͓̽
Ableton Live is a software music sequencer and digital audio workstation. In contrast to many other software sequencers, Live is designed to be an instrument for live performances as well as a tool for composing, recording, arranging, mixing, and mastering. Max, also known as Max/MSP/Jitter, is a visual programming language for music and multimedia. Over its more than thirty-year history, it has been used by composers, performers, software designers, researchers, and artists to create recordings, performances, and installations. Depending on your interest I will show you how to use and customise each program to your needs, but also show you how to combine the two in order to get the best of the 2 worlds. Ableton and MaxMSP are a killer combo for anyone that wants to: - expand their musical instrument with electronic extensions - create custom made controllers for their live performances - create complex automations for live or studio use - produce music, compose, arrange - create automated VJ sets to accompany their live performance - create a live looping performance - control backing tracks for live performances - work on generative music - program art installations and much more I will give you sets & patches with examples to accompany the lessons, but also help you build your own creations in MaxMSP or Ableton.

Piano (all ages): Learn to discover the piano in an intuitive and creative way on your level and from your interest. In addition to the basic, we dive into the world of: - Pop & Jazz: play songs directly, scales, diagrams, harmonies, melodies, rhythm, swing. - Improvisation: in this way you develop your ears in a playful way, your musical memory and musical vocabulary. Songwriting: Learn how to bring a Song consisting of text and music (piano / guitar) to life and to a higher level by gaining more insight into: structure, structure, dynamics, contrasts, harmony, melody, rhythm, groove .... Audio Production: Learn how to properly record an instrument and professionally produce a track in the in-the-box studio from start to finish. - Recording: microphone placement, levels, reflections space. - Mixing: editing, making balance, panning, making sound (plug ins) - Mastering: the whipped cream on the audio pie, loudness, RMS, dynamics. In my 'Stolk Method' the following components are central: learn to use your ears, stimulate creativity, develop musical memory, expand musical vocabulary, not just blindflight on music notation, develop rhythm and timing, extend harmonic and melodic knowledge, increase sense of form and structure.

Producing & Recording lessons Logic Pro X software!
Would you like to record your own songs, but do not know what you need and how it works? My name is Erik, 21 years old and I have gained a lot of experience in recent years with playing on many stages and on different study recordings. And now I hope to transfer something from that experience to new talent, or to you! As producer of an album, a number of singles and company advertisements, I have been able to work with many musicians, plug ins and instruments and it is incredibly cool to be able to record this. But you too can do this yourself! In the lessons I hope to be able to bring you (depending on the knowledge you have) further into recording songs and the use of Logic Pro X software & external plugins so that you can quickly record your songs or songs for someone else. Lessons are for beginners and average level and can be given at home, at home or via webcam. Times are in consultation and possibly not indicated times are possible. For more info and option you can always contact me.

Ableton Live - Getting your ideas down into a workable format to create a full working track! No prior knowledge needed!
I specialise in making music with the computer when there isn't a whole bunch of theory knowledge there. I can teach you to quickly and efficiently make that tune in your head into a reality, then turn that into a full track. If you have tried a few tutorials or courses and they didn't fit with you because of all the engineering jargon and theory based approach, this course is for you! I learnt to make music because I was hearing all these songs in my head but wasn't good enough at any instrument to materialise them. Ableton allowed me to hash through ideas, jam with them, then finally turn them into a full working track. I have also worked as a live and studio sound engineer so I do have the theoretical knowledge but can communicate in the language of learners from all different levels. I think there are a lot of people that just need to express what they have in there head and Ableton is by far the best program for that. It is very intuitive, "jammable" and so much fun! For me Ableton is my instrument but I also play the drums, piano and bass.

Loïc
Songwriting/Music production/Music theory for everyone.
I'm a student music production at the royal conservatory. I have a wide knowledge of music theory covering everything from harmony to rhythm. I am also very experienced as a tutor. My aim is to teach this subject because it's a powerful tool to play, interpret and write music. I adapt the level of my classes to the level of the student.

Arnoult
Ableton and production skills. Get your ideas heard!
Ableton is a tool. Once you control it, you can turn any musical idea you have into reality. Pretty amazing right? To give you an idea, here are just some topics I can teach you about: - Working with audio and MIDI tracks - Synthesis - Creative sampling - Arrangement - Mixing and Mastering techniques - Effects and processing - Chords and Melodies etc. Feel free to bring up whatever you'd like to know more about. You choose what we'll talk about, of course! Apart from the software, there are certain guidelines concerning the structure and elements of a song: the arrangement. I can help you shape your raw idea into a complete song structure. All of this in a flexible and cooperative manner, where the creative vision of your music is key. I graduated as Music Producer and Sound Engineer at dBs Berlin. I played live shows at Tomorrowland, ADE etc. as LXNGTN. Latest release on Spotify: LXNGTN meets Fares - Seasons EP. I've been playing the piano for 20 years, took training in musical theory, play guitar and do composing and sound design work for the advertisement industry.

Aman
Photoshop, AutoCAD, Logic Pro, FL studio, Piano, Guitar, Audio plugins
Audio recording if done in right manner and with right mic-ing techniques will not depend merely on post production for it's enhancement. This consists of closed mic-ing and open mic-ing, where to use different aspects and how to apply them. For example using small diaphragm microphones for snare and larger ones for vocals. Piano It is the best tuned instrument that there is in the whole library. So, learning piano not only helps you to just play piano better but you can also do better in vocals, guitar, flute and other instruments. It's a go for anyone who is fond of music and wants to learn a instrument. Music composition This module aims to develop the students’ compositional ability using a combination of key musical understanding and the practical use of music creation software. Students will have the opportunity to investigate technical and stylistic conventions across a range of contemporary western popular music genres and to study key elements such as chord progressions, structure, harmony and melody, to develop their confidence and own abilities in composition. These sessions will explore musical composition techniques used in popular and contemporary music. The focus will be on deconstructing different works, exploring what their musical elements are and investigating what commonality these have across the boundaries of genre or instrumentation. Students will have experience of composing original musical elements and arranging these elements into complete compositions.

Carlos
Guitar , Music , Composition , Theory & Production/Software
More than 25 years of  experience as a professional musician and more than 20 as a teacher and pedagogue have taught me that, alongside a technical and knowledgeable musical upbringing, my teaching can instil in the student a wide sense of musical appreciation. It is my firm belief that music connects to many other areas of learning and may even catalyse the overall pedagogical development of children. Furthermore, my training as a classical composer/arranger and a performer of classical, jazz and world music allows me to create diverse pedagogical scenarios, which fit not just the aspirations of individual students, but also helps me to work with students collectively in ensembles and other kinds of interactive projects. For the past 5 years I have also included many technological advancements (such as DAW software), which allow students to record and produce their own material or practice sessions. Using these techniques, I am able to reach out to each student, introduce new concepts and make sure they enjoy and improve their learning processes.
