"Does your child spend hours struggling with a physics problem? Has math become a source of stress at home? This is often a sign that the subject is being taught in too abstract a way. As a Civil Engineer, I transform complex theories into concrete and logical concepts." Hello, Having graduated in electromechanical engineering from UCL, I offer private lessons and academic support in Mathematics and Physics for primary, secondary and higher education students (Bachelor's 1 to Bachelor's 3). My approach is simple: no formulas memorized without understanding, we start with concrete examples! As an engineer, I approach science through logic, practical examples, and problem-solving. This is the key to sparking learning in students and overcoming their mental blocks. 🎯 My areas of expertise: Primary & Lower Secondary: Regular monitoring, working methods, intensive preparation for CEB and CE1D. Upper secondary education: Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, general physics, preparation for the CESS and entrance exams. Higher education (Bachelor's 1 to Bachelor's 3) & Competitive exams: Analysis, general physics, electromagnetism. Ideal support for preparing for January/June exams (block exams) or entrance exams for engineering/medicine. 🛠️ My teaching method: Diagnosis: Identify fundamental gaps or methodological problems from the first hour. Simplification: Re-explain the theory from a different, more visual and concrete angle. Autonomy: Intensive practice through progressive exercises to automate reflexes and restore the student's confidence. 📍 Practical information: Languages: Courses can be given in French, English or Dutch. Geographic area: Home visits in Waterloo, Braine-l'Alleud, Lasne, Plancenoit and surrounding areas. Accustomed to the level of requirements of the schools in the region (Cardijn, Vallée Bailly, Berlaymont, Institut Saint-Joseph, etc.) as well as the expectations of university faculties (UCLouvain, ULB, Umons...). Feel free to contact me to discuss your child's needs and create an effective schedule!

Trusted teacher: I will be happy to start or deepen with you the learning of the recorder or the transverse flute. Like Obélix, I fell into the pot when I was little: my father is a pianist and my mother a music teacher. I started early musical awareness and recorder lessons at the Waterloo academy. At 8 years old, a single instrument was no longer enough for me and I started playing the transverse flute. I obtained my Bachelor's degree with distinction in Brussels and then left for an enriching Erasmus year in Weimar in Germany. I finished my course in recorder at Lemmens with Bart Spanhove, where I studied 4 years in musical humanity. I am currently in master 2 for the transverse flute at the imep with Denis-Pierre Gustin. Since entering the conservatory in 2016, I started giving lessons alongside my studies. I taught musical awareness in schools in Waterloo, I also gave recorder and transverse flute lessons in Lembeek in addition to leading several instrumental groups. Since September 2022 I have been teaching at the Apko academy and in Berchem-Saint-Agathe. I don't have a favorite methodology other than the "positive attitude". I have given many lessons with very different students and with equally different expectations, I adapt as best as possible to your wishes and your situation, hoping to give enriching and fulfilling lessons. Having many children students, I created my own recorder method, for the most advanced, I am currently working on creating a technical exercise book. I teach in sessions of one hour or 1/2 hour for the youngest. All ages are welcome as well as all levels and styles. I hope to see you very soon to share my passion with you.

Trusted teacher: My journey: For 12 years, I evolve in the field of sports, with the status of athlete of high level recognized by the French community and Adeps. I found in boxing a way to channel my energy, let off steam and at the same time an amazing way to have fun and exchange. To quote you a small part of my record, I am 9 times champion of Belgium in Savate / French Boxing, Vice-Champion of Technical Europe 2017 and Vice-Champion of the World Combat 2017. Added to that, several bronze medals in international league. At the base, I am a dancer. I have always been attracted to contact sports and discovering French boxing, I revealed myself. It is a mixture of technique, tactics, strikes but all in a well-defined setting. Plus, without lying to you, there is no more cardio than boxing feet / fists! French Boxing has become a passion and I would like to share my experience by training new practitioners of all ages and abilities. My methodology: During the lessons, we start by learning the basics, the positioning, the movement and of course the typing techniques. Boxing is "contact", touching and learning to cash. We dissect, we assimilate and then put this into practice. In addition, we work on its endurance, flexibility, power. Boxing is a whole. So we will mobilize the whole body through muscle building, cardio exercises, punching feet in the paws bear and exchanges with my hands :). All in FUN :) With me the classes are dynamic, motivating and educational. Progression and fun guaranteed!

Trusted teacher: I've been teaching English to small children up to teenagers at École Française Internationale. I give lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. I mix between French and English so the pupil doesn't get too confused, but also allows them to understand every detail. For beginners, we usually talk about our surroundings, what's close to us and what affects us on a daily basis. (Numbers, directions, the weather, asking simple questions, what's a noun and pronoun and where to put them in a sentence). I like to find playful activities so that the pupil/student is in control of their work. Of course, this is an example for a certain age group, but it also varies depending on their knowledge and their age. For intermediates, we make basic conversation. Ex: How do you go to school; What do you do in your free time? ; What's the weather like? -------------------------------- The start of the course with a new learner consists of detecting their level by talking about their background, what they already know, what they must master in order to no longer have any gaps. The first lesson also allows the learner to get comfortable and get to know me to establish mutual trust. That’s why I use a touch of my British humor to achieve this. (I generally do this at the start of the lesson with my students to establish a good mood and they are always delighted!) To help the learner better engage with the learning, I will ask them what their passions/hobbies are, this who interests him to arouse interest in learning. I will adapt my lessons on subjects that speak to him more. Whatever the reason for the course, whether it is to improve oral, written, reading or listening comprehension, I organize audio sessions, readings, everything necessary to deepen in the language.
