I specialize in tutoring English for beginners, adults and for students. I am a Mass Communication graduate and I have had online English classes before to foreigners (Japanese, Chinese, Singaporean, etc.) which made me become a more competent English tutor. My goal is to keep my students challenged but at the same time, I give my best to teach the lessons smoothly and clearly by using teaching methods. I provide feedback / comments (about grammar, speling, etc.) every after lesson and I assign homework as well.

I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). World traveler, I have lived in Thailand, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, US, Switzerland and many more countries, where I both dtudies and worked as a legal advisor.

2022-Now:

2021-2022:
I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.

I can teach French, Dutch, and English, Spanish and in German, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills.

Hi! I’m a native English speaker and CELTA-qualified teacher, and I love helping people feel more comfortable and confident speaking English.

Before moving back to Geneva, I worked with NGOs in Greece supporting refugees and asylum seekers. As part of my work, I taught English to people from many different backgrounds and levels, as well as managing community programmes and volunteers. I really enjoyed the teaching side of my work — especially getting to know people individually and seeing their confidence grow.

That's why I prefer one-to-one lessons. I want our lessons to feel less like a traditional classroom and more like a relaxed conversation where you can practise, ask questions and learn at your own pace.

My name is Rubén and I have two years of experience in private tutoring, during which I helped each student achieve specific goals. I have taught English to a child and helped a German student pass his Spanish exams, in addition to numerous other tutoring activities in Spain.
