Within the class I will focus on close analysis, reading a wide range of literary texts (from classics to contemporary novels) as well as working on essay writing techniques. I believe that with the right guidance and skills, English literature can be transformed from “boring” to a topic you thoroughly enjoy !

About Me

I am a 21 year old student, studying English literature at Manchester university. I love to be out in nature, spending time with my friends and I am a huge animal lover ! Reading has been a passion of mine for my whole life and I found books to be a way of delving into my imagination and ideas. However, despite always loving literature and reading, I haven’t always found it the easiest academically. With anxiety I often had to create my own learning style to adapt and thrive in school, using cgp books to make my own flash cards with rhymes or random mnemonics. Now I am much more confident and thriving, having just got a first in my second year of my course. It’s my aim to help others achieve the same ! I would be completely on board to look at specific texts students are interested in and even graphic novels (as I am a big fan of them myself, especially fun home by Alison bechdel) so feel free to take the lessons in whichever direction best serves you. In this class, we practice conversational English by diving into the stories we love. Hello! I’m a law tutor who specialises in Edexcel International A-Level Law — and my goal is to help you truly understand the subject, not just pass the exam. To do that, I bring more than a textbook: I’m also a practicing lawyer with experience in courts, consulting, and private client work. During my studies, I have also taken part in international law competitions, academic conferences, and published legal articles. I often draw on real cases and examples from my own legal practice, so abstract rules become concrete and memorable. At the same time, I’m completing my law degree at a leading Russian university, which keeps me closely connected to modern academic standards and exam expectations.

Hello! My name is Alba and I have a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Jaén. I also have a Master's degree in Secondary Education Teaching, specializing in Language and Literature, studies that have greatly helped me to know how to approach my classes to achieve academic success.
I can say that I have a very varied background, based on effort and perseverance, because, in addition to the studies already mentioned, I have a degree in Dramatic Arts and I have trained at the Conservatory of Music up to the professional level with the specialty of violin.
For all of this, I have years of experience giving private lessons in Language and Literature, Violin, Piano, English and Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE).

I use a very varied methodology, based primarily on practice and adapted to each situation, depending on the student and the type of learning they want.
