I have been involved in art for twenty years. I started out painting and selling both oils and watercolours. This developed to become, for a while, the main source of our household income. I managed to have solo exhibitions in Devon and Kent in the UK, as well as USA, Japan and, when I lived in France, several there too. When I returned from France, I started my academic studies in Fine Art Sheffield Hallam and Leeds Arts University where I receive a BA and MA in fine art.

I have great interest in the theory of fine art, such as composition, perspective, colour theory; the technology of fine art in understanding materials used and techniques applied. The theories of doing that allow successful expression. As well as purely fine art theory, this allows me to bring in psychology and other scientific thought, not to usurp fine are theory, but to bolster it both to confirm existing theories as well as opening out possible avenues for discovering new ones.

In painting I see myself as impressionist but recently have moved more towards realism to better communicate with internet viewer. This is because, when a piece is photographed, people cannot see complexity of the brush strokes used. I like to paint genre where complicated compositions and intellectual work is involved but I also do portraits, still life and landscape. In sculpture I use mostly archaic composition, as exemplified by Henry Moore and Aristide Maillol.

I really enjoy sharing my love of art with other. I believe everybody can express themselves through art (and probably should) and I love being a catalyst to make that happen. I do not use restrictive instruction where I tell students what they must do, but help them develop themselves - help them to discover their own way while sharing helpful insights from my own practice and wide knowledge of fine art practice and theory.

About Me

I am a highly driven person who can achieve goal in multiple circumstances and industries. Since coming to the UK, I have embarked on a new venture into academic studies with a view to mirroring my previous successes in that area. As a part of this, I received a first-class honours and master’s in fine art. My academic studies have been carried out to enable me to achieve my new goal working with people to allow them to express themselves with fine art. I take great delight and pride in mentoring people around seeing it as something a need to do almost as a part of my own practice.

Throughout of practice, I have used representational painting and drawing (even my abstract pieces are underpinned by a representational approach – in some way, is that not always the case?) and have been exhibited a number of times as I developed, from exhibitions in Devon and Kent where I showed both oils (generally painterly pieces) and, by contrast, Japanese inspired watercolours to an exhibition in Japan where I showed Japanese watercolour inspired oils as well as exhibitions when I lived in France that reflected the colours rather than the actuality of the country. I have developed towards researching the boarders between different disciplines, merging fine art with general art and theoretical bases that underpin all of these. In my MA thesis I looked at painting as sculpture and sculpture as painting. I researched fine art theorists such as Fontana, Vladimir Tatlin, Jean Dubuffet, Jean Tangley, Kurt Schwitters, Lev Nusberg, Eric Bulatov, Timur Novikov, Irina Nakhova, Greenberg et al. The goal was to break down the borders of practices in order to build a practice that was able to use any practice in a harmonious way; to “dekonstuct” theories to allow a theory to emerge. This research has given me some tools that will help me in my future work, specifically, although I still make representational pieces, these are not confined to the flat painting; I have brought into my pieces sculptural and theatrical aspects as well as having done work to include temporal practices – I have moved, that is, to making installations that allow the non-pictorial to impinge and unite with the pictorial in an effort to the transgress, and yet keep, all modes of expression used.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. Good morning! I am a 3D animator!
Graduated with a master's degree as a 3D Designer and Special Effects Director, I am delighted to support you in your learning of drawing or painting, whether you have a beginner level or are preparing an application to enter an animation school 3D.
I have always drawn and started using Photoshop before I was 10. I have improved over the years, first self-taught, then by taking classes and finally in my animation school.
When it comes to art, you never stop learning, which is why I am convinced that even if I teach classes, I can learn things from my students!
My courses depend on the level of the person and their expectations. I can give exercises to do regularly or not, it's à la carte. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

Fashion design can feel overwhelming when you are trying to build a portfolio, apply to university, improve your fashion projects or create your own collection. You may have strong ideas, but not know how to turn them into clear research, professional drawings, a commercial range or work that looks ready for the fashion industry.

I am an industry fashion designer with experience across womenswear, youthwear, jersey, leisurewear, casualwear, partywear, graphics, product development and commercial collection building. I currently work in supplier-side fashion design, developing trend-led product for major high-street retail. I have also worked across girlswear, boyswear, menswear, luxury swimwear and private luxury collection development for high-profile clients.

In these lessons, I can help you understand how fashion design works in the real industry. We can work on portfolio development, university portfolio preparation, trend research, customer research, mood boards, colour palettes, fabric direction, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CADs, technical fashion drawings, range building, tech packs and final presentation.
