I am a first class songwriting graduate from Leeds College of Music. I have experience of running engaging and stimulating writing sessions. I can help you unlock your own creativity, get over a writers block or introduce you to songwriting/creative writing with lots of different exercises that I have used over the years. I am also a guitarist and vocalist so we can bring this into the lessons if you want to. I want to help you get creative in a way that is inspiring and enjoyable.

I am a singer-songwriter, guitarist, musician. I graduated from Leeds college of Music with a first class degree in songwriting in 2018. I am experienced in working with young people, particularly running creative, collaborative workshops as well as gigging and releasing music regularly. I am currently working on a Certificate in Music Education, through Trinity College London which gives me more experience and knowledge of teaching and running music and songwriting sessions.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords
- Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand

Hello! I'm Nina, a drummer from Amsterdam.
I am currently studying Drums at the Amsterdam Conservatory (Pop Department).
I play in multiple bands and various session projects, including 45ACIDBABIES and Anna Joan + more.
I work a lot with Hybrid Drums (SPD and triggers) and also teach Ableton.
I love many different music styles, so you've come to the right place for any genre!

The studio is located in the Q-Factory in Amsterdam with two professional drum kits and sound system.
If all this is too far or for some other reason not reachable, lessons at home and / or online are also possible!

We can work on, among other things:
- Hand technique (how do I hold my sticks? Or which stick technique do I use for different music styles?)
- Creativity (how can I eventually make cool drum parts myself? Or parts other than the ones you would initially come up with?)
- Improvisation (lots of playing and trying!)
- Timing, playing along with songs (with click tracks), how can I become more playful with the click?

Hello!

Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory... or all the above listed!
Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but with the right guidance and the correct practice, I’m sure you will learn in no time! I want to prove to you that building this basic knowledge can be easy, accessible, and not heavy at all.
My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, whether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, or getting better at pitch matching... we will discuss it together. I have many books and materials, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. If you've been eager to get better in drums and therefore studying all its different styles and genres, I definitely can help you with that!
Particularly, I've studied in deep Tony Williams' and Elvin Jones' playing and the main drummers of the jazz era from the 50s to the 70s , so if you really want to improve that kind of vision and sound I can give you some great hints such as transcriptions, analysis, sound strategies and many video materials.
Also, I am specialized in Funk/Hip-Hop music and that kind of groovy world. So, I've been mastering a specific approach to this genre as well.
