Adobe Illustrator is a great tool to bring your designs to life. I will teach you the simplest way to create line art and colourized flats for your design portfolios and interest.
I will guide you through the process of scanning or uploading your own hand-drawn sketches into the program and then guide you through the process of creating 'flats'. These are industry-standard CADs (Computer Aided Designs) that will help you translate your idea into something incredible and alive.

You will need a laptop and a mouse as well as either the Adobe Illustrator software or a creative cloud account.

We will start with the basics!

Before jumping into design software, we will explore the fundamentals of graphic design, including a little bit of design history and important design principles such as typography, color theory, composition and visual hierarchy.

Step by step, students will learn how to work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma.
