I specialize in teaching Korean to beginners, starting from the very basics, including the Korean alphabet (Hangul), pronunciation, grammar, and essential vocabulary. Each lesson is fully personalized to your pace and interests. Students can choose between two types of lessons: a structured approach following a textbook, ideal for steady, systematic learning, or a more informal and fun approach, still based on the textbook but incorporating exercises using K-pop songs, K-drama scenes, or other content you enjoy. Lessons can also be combined with learning about Korean culture and history, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the language in its cultural context.

My teaching emphasizes interaction and practice: students actively speak, read, and write during each lesson, with plenty of exercises, games, and repetition to reinforce learning. I adjust the classroom dynamics according to each student, creating a calm, friendly, and motivating environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process.

I have experience tutoring students from age 12 to university level, and my background includes a bachelor’s degree in Korean Language, a master’s in East Asian Studies, intensive study at Dongguk University in Seoul, and 2,5 years working at the Commercial Office of the Embassy of South Korea. These experiences have deepened both my cultural understanding and my ability to teach Korean in an engaging, effective, and culturally rich way. I am a patient, friendly, and approachable tutor, passionate about helping students discover the beauty of the Korean language, culture, and history. 1) Conversation-focused lessons:
The main reason for learning a foreign language is usually to communicate. Even students who had no prior knowledge of Korean can now converse exclusively in Korean with me. We practice forming natural sentences, slowly and at each student’s own pace.

2) Homework and assessments:
Without homework or tests, it is very difficult to make progress in a language. I assign homework tailored to each student’s level and pace, and give a small vocabulary quiz at the end of each chapter. (During very busy periods, the amount of homework is adjusted, so don’t worry!)

3) Culture:
Language is closely connected to culture. In my lessons, we cover various topics related to Korean society, culture, history, economy, and politics.
