In this simple, easy to understand beginning photography course, students will learn the basics and fundamentals of using a camera. We will be talking about how a camera works, what parts of the camera are used, how to edit photos, composition, and anything else that may supplement our desires! Whether you have your own personal DSLR or just the camera on your phone, all these fundamentals will still apply! Additionally, for students who want me to give them hands on experience, we can schedule times to go out and take our own photos! Think of it like this: If you’re not any good at carpentry, you can still identify a poorly made coffee table. Basically, what we’re going to try to do is understand how to recognise if an artwork has been responsibly made or not. In the case contemporary art that has been made responsibly, this class will suggest that your kid could not have made it, any more than they could have removed your appendix, designed a suspension bridge or landed a crashing helicopter. In the case of art that has not been made responsibly, then yes, perhaps your kid could have made it.
