If I had to describe myself as a teacher in a few words, I’d say patient, friendly, curious, and a little bit creative.
I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and teaching English became especially meaningful to me when I saw how much a student’s confidence could change simply by having someone who listens to them and gives them the space to try.
I’ve taught children, teenagers, and adults, and one thing I’ve learned is that no two students are the same. Some students love talking from the very first minute, while others need a little more time to feel comfortable. Some enjoy games and activities, while others prefer having a clear structure. I actually love discovering what works for each person.
In my classes, I don’t expect you to speak perfect English from day one. You’re allowed to make mistakes. You’re allowed to pause and think. You’re allowed to ask the same question twice. That’s how learning happens.
I like my lessons to feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. We might talk about your everyday life, travel, movies, work, hobbies, or something completely unexpected! Along the way, I’ll help you improve your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and speaking skills without making you feel like you’re sitting in an exam.
I also love preparing activities and games, especially for younger students, and I always try to bring something personal into my lessons rather than following exactly the same routine with everyone.
And I’m a language learner myself. I’m currently learning Turkish, so I know that feeling when you know what you want to say, but the words just don’t come out! 😄 It has made me even more understanding of my own students.
