I have been a teacher now for about 20 years of which the last 7 as a private tutor in both statistics and English. I am fully bilingual in Dutch and English and can teach you basic to advanced conversational skills, practice reading with you and vastly improve your writing skills.

My goal is to make it fun for you so you learn English a lot faster and the learning becomes much easier. The best way to learn a language fast is to practice it a lot so that's what we will be doing if you take my classes.

I have taught English to many different age groups from little kids to adults.

About Me

I have been a teacher now for 20 years. First as a teacher at university and for the last 11 years as a private tutor.
I love teaching. Helping people for example with statistics who are lost in all the crazy sounding terms and who just need someone to walk them through what all of it means and why it's useful in simple language.

Or with English to help someone start to get good at one of the most used and arguably most important languages in the world. Helping them with their professional lives, or at school. And perhaps even more importantly helping them make their world suddenly a lot richer. To be able to pick movies, books, youtube videos, podcasts, memes from all over the world and understand them can be a huge game changer in someone's life.

In general I really enjoy seeing someone start to have fun with learning. Getting more fun out of learning and learning more tools to learn more effectively. There is so much out there you will never learn all of it. But if you can learn how to learn and learn how to have fun while doing it... That will make all the difference :)

If you didn't get anything your teacher said...sometimes that isn't your fault. Sometimes that just means the teacher wasn't able to translate the ideas they were trying to teach you into simple enough words.

The SAT is a landmark exam for many high school students. A good exam score can be instrumental in college admissions. This course is designed to provide students with resources to set a goal score, make a study plan, and feel confident on test day. I got a 1530 on my most recent SAT, and I am dedicated to uplifting students to and beyond that score.
I can help specifically with the English and Math multiple choice parts of the exam. With students I will cover both content, the information being tested on the exam, and testing strategies, how to more efficiently and effectively take the test. The essay portion of the SAT has mostly been discontinued, so I don't cover it when tutoring for the exam.
