I believe that language is a powerful tool today. Not only does it help us understand the world from a different perspective, but it also teaches us the culture of the people who use it. I have had the opportunity to work with teenagers for 5 years now as a student associate in a science center, as a mentor and a lecturer in a different field. What I have learned from that experience is that first and foremost one must become a friend with their student, to understand their needs and their attitudes. I will do my best to make the classes fun by combining audio and visual material in my teaching. My field of study is Social and Cultural Anthropology.

About Me
I am a young hardworking and highly motivated student. I am currently studying at KU Leuven, the master program for Social and Cultural Anthropology. I am determined and flexible. I believe that teaching and lecturing is my calling. I have had the opportunity to work with young students in a Research Center Petnica in Serbia. My position as a student associate had a wide array of tasks and obligations to my team, my managers as well as the students I was mentoring. They involved creating workshops, teambuilding exercises, discussions, creating schedules and giving lectures. As a mentor, I had to motivate, fact check, proof-read and edit all the information in the papers of my mentees. I have had the opportunity to work with a wonderful team of highly motivated students and managers throughout the years. This internship has equipped me with interpersonal and communication skills, as well as time management and conflict resolution. These skills have made me a good listener, a creative thinker and an innovative problem solver.

Experience / Qualifications
My language tutoring qualifications are limited. I have officially worked as an English tutor for only 3 months. But what I lack in qualifications, I make up with my experience. My expertise lies in working with people, understanding social ques and nuances of individual needs. I believe I am a good communicator and an excellent listener.
