I specialise in tutoring English for SATS and GCSE level ( English Language). My goal is to challenge students but also work with them to achieve their goals and improve their skills. I will ask what they believe their weaknesses are, whilst also reviewing them every session. I will assign them tasks regularly after every class to complete at home and mark the work to give them improvements or targets, usually 3 for one piece of work. When I see their weakness/weaknesses after marking a piece of work, I will tailor my next session to this weakness. I will also be incorporating past test or exam questions into homework for practice, mark these and give feedback; this will allow students to use their knowledge in a practical and efficient way.
