About Me
I'm a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and learning different things. My interests include music, film, sport, TV, news, and current affairs. I also enjoy travel and have visited many parts of the world and learn languages myself (Russian and Spanish).
I aim to deliver productive classes; therefore, I ask students to complete a placement test so I can make sure lessons with me are appropriate for their English level. I care about my students and will provide ongoing support.
I also encourage my students to tell me what topics they're interested in and what kind of lessons they like. I use a wide range of material including textbooks, worksheets, TED talk videos and much more.

Education
As well as GCSEs and A-Levels, I also attended university. In 2010, I studied Law (LLB Hons) at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and graduated in 2014. I also have a Trinity CertTESOL (more details below).
Experience / Qualifications
Before becoming an English teacher, I worked in customer service and office administration, so I understand the importance of providing a good service to both new and existing customers.
In September 2019, I started the Trinity CertTESOL course and completed it in December 2019. I provided six hours of classroom teaching to adult refugees; most of the students spoke Arabic as their first language. Other units in the course included assessing a student's English level and giving them a one-to-one lesson, learning a new language as an absolute beginner (Portuguese) and critically evaluating the materials I used during my teaching.
Since February 2020, I have been teaching online. I have taught students from all areas of the world, though most of my students come from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Italy and Spain. I teach General English, conversation practice and a course called All Things British, where I teach students about the UK.
