My name is Daniela. I am half German and half Mexican and lived the past nine years in the Netherlands to study International Relations and Environmental Studies. I truly enjoy traveling, learning new languages, spending time in nature. I have always been passionate about languages and connecting with people from different cultures through them. Spanish and German are my mother tongues. I also speak English fluently and have a good level of Dutch and French. Therefore, I can explain grammatical concepts and vocabulary in these languages too.

I have always enjoyed teaching and participating in language exchanges. I gave private lessons in German to students of secondary and high school for several years. I have a teacher's certificate for Spanish as a foreign language and am pursuing my Master in Language Teaching. I have taught Spanish at different language Institutes for several years and always continued with German lessons too.

I would be happy to help you improve your German, by focusing on your specific objectives as well as preferred way of learning. Personally, I like taking mainly a conversational approach. Practicing speaking and listening tends to be the best way to master a language. Besides this I can also explain the grammar and prepare exercises. For each class I like to focus on a specific topic and introduce a bit of grammar and vocabulary in a dynamic way and that is based on your interests.

About Me

My name is Dani. I am half Mexican and half German. I grew up in both countries and came to the Netherlands for my studies.

I have always given private Spanish and German lessons and discovered that languages and teaching are truly my passion. That is why I completed a Spanish teacher training course in Spain and taught at a language institute. Now I teach at Taalinstituut Fuentes here in the Netherlands, as well as private lessons, and I love it very much.

A bit more about myself: I am quite open-minded and easy-going and have a curious mind. Teaching and being in contact with so many different people has shown me that I can also learn a lot from my students. I love being in nature, travelling, cooking (and especially eating), skating, and dancing salsa. And as I mentioned I´m quite passionate about languages, so at the moment I am learning italian and trying to improve my french and Dutch :)

Spanish lessons for beginners to advanced with a native speaker!

My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages. However, I prefer to speak Spanish as much as possible, also for the beginners lessons, because I believe that people learn the language better that way.

I have a FPELE certificate: Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Training. And I have taught A1 to B2 level at a language institute in Spain.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.
