I give my classes based on each student's needs. Whether you want to focus on written professional English/Greek or simply conversational English/Greek, I will adapt to what fits you most. We will focus on grammar, spelling, reading, as well as pronunciation skills, and have conversations around your preferable choice of topics. Last but not least, apart from using the traditional teaching methods I am extremely keen on using the experiential learning method, which makes my classes both interesting and fun. The first lesson is always a needs analysis, when we discuss how we can customize the lessons to suit your exact language needs. I prepare all the lesson materials, and share them with you digitally. You can choose whether you spend any time on homework, or not!

I am a native speaker of Greek. I graduated from a Greek high school and, later, the University of Athens where I attended courses in pedagogics, psychology, and linguistics. During our lessons, I'll help you develop your skills (oral/written, and not only). I'll also try to help you improve your pronunciation and spelling. I assign homework and after I receive it, correct it thoroughly additionally providing a lot of remarks/examples if they are necessary. I worked at a language center between 2009-2016 where I was a director of studies and taught mainly English as a foreign/second language. Since 2005, when I first started teaching Greek, I have taught children and adults on a variety of language proficiency levels, mainly individually. I constantly seek progress, meaning that I study further through reading books/articles concerning didactics/methodology and learning difficulties (chiefly dyslexia), observing other teachers as well as attending seminars (online or face-to-face). During my lessons I use : - Skype/Whatsapp/Messenger to connect with you, - Google Docs to keep notes, which you can check at any time and they are yours to keep, - sketch board me to make mind maps to show connections between ideas, etc. - books, PPP, word docs, diagrams, pics, etc. - pronunciation/spelling/grammar games, - authentic materials were taken from websites. I adore my profession and desire each and every one of my students be satisfied with the lesson. That's why I make sure the atmosphere is stress-free and nice. I also want my lessons to be as effective and close to real-life needs as possible. Therefore, I make sure they are well-prepared, although they can be altered at any point, should such an opportunity arise. I like explaining things in a variety of ways as well as make use of dictionaries, diagrams, etc. When it comes to students who want to obtain certificates, I am very demanding. This course is for anyone wishing to learn ancient Greek and gradually gain access to literature, culture, philosophy, and ancient history. The course calls on basic French grammar knowledge, which can be reviewed as needed.

Special lessons are given to elementary, middle and high school students. Education and teaching of Greek language to foreign students. Free educational material is available depending on the needs and particularities of each student.My goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.

I am a Greek native speaker coming originally from the beautiful island of Crete. I have been living in England for the last 20 years and I have been teaching privately for the last 12 years. I am about to finish my studies on German Language and Literature (Linguistik) at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have already a Bachelor in History/Greek Language and a Master in Philosophy. I am specialised in CLIL method, e.g. teaching Philosophy/History parallel to the teaching of Greek/German language. I offer lessons of German language for levels: A1, A1+ A2, A2+ B1, B1+ B2, B2+ Especially for students with an English-language or Greek-language background.
