Violin is a sophisticated instrument that requires a solid foundation in order to be able to enjoy music and enjoy playing after years of learning.

I have over 15 years music experience, learned violin with professors from Royal College of Music. I am patient and love to teach violin.
In my class, I use unique combination of innovative teaching method and technology in violin education. It will provide a holistic education which incorporates lessons, practice, and performance into one, ensuring that all the students receive an opportunity to perform. The teaching method will helps the student to gain a good foundation and to build up their interest on violin. As I m using technology combine with pedagogy materials in my teaching, online lesson is as efficient as physical lesson.

All ages are welcome whether totally new beginner or few years experienced. Travel to my location or webcam lessons are available.

Hi there, I'm a musician, currently based in Manchester, but have studied in France and Switzerland. I did my undergraduate in music at the University of Oxford and am now an orchestral conductor.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, my musical journey began at the age of five when I first picked up the violin. With the support of dedicated instructors, I built a strong foundation in technical precision and musical sensitivity, setting the stage for my future achievements.

Driven by a desire to reach new heights, I earned my LTCL Diploma with Distinction from Trinity London College at eighteen, a milestone reflecting countless hours of dedication. This achievement motivated me to further deepen my understanding of the instrument.

Seeking new perspectives, I pursued advanced studies under the renowned violin maestro Mr. Hwang Wei-Ming at Taiwan SooChow University. There, I immersed myself in the art of violin technique, interpretation, and performance, gaining invaluable experience collaborating with talented musicians.

Over the years, I received scholarships to study violin at Taiwan SooChow University and California Baptist University. These opportunities enriched my musical experiences and allowed me to perform in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. My journey includes performances with ensembles such as the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Pro-Arte Orchestra, Taiwan SooChow University Orchestra, and Taiwan Rong-Shing Chamber Orchestra, among others. These experiences continue to inform my approach to teaching, allowing me to provide my students with practical insights and real-world performance techniques.

Previously, I taught GCSE Music at Hollingworth Academy and provided violin instruction at The Hathershaw College and Radclyffe School, where I developed a holistic and student-centered teaching approach tailored to each learner's unique needs and goals.

Currently, I am dedicated to teaching SEND students at The Peak School, where I strive to create a supportive and calming environment. I often incorporate live violin performances to help my students relax and connect with music on a deeper level. Additionally, I work with private violin students, including young musicians from Manchester High School for Girls and Withington Girls’ School, as well as those preparing for music scholarship auditions at prestigious institutions like London Westminster School.

Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Manchester-based artist Emma for her exhibition, Monton in Bloom. This opportunity allowed me to share my music in a creative and inspiring setting.
