This class is for anyone looking for a friend and mentor to help them along their music journey. If you've decided you want to learn bass, or already play it, I teach all ages and abilities, and have been doing so for ten years. Perhaps you just want to learn more about music, and bass is your vehicle. We can also dive into songwriting, music theory and music production. I don't teach from one book; my goal is to tailor each lesson uniquely to the student, so they get the most out of it.

Bass guitar is an extremely rewarding instrument to play; if you're a total beginner I can bet you'll come away from your first lesson being able to play a song! It's so awesome to learn an instrument and feel accomplished at the end of each lesson and eager to keep learning.

I'm a professional musician who's been lucky enough to tour and record all over the world with some of the industry's biggest acts--including Charli XCX, Hailee Steinfeld and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins. My first-hand experience means I have lots of knowledge I'm happy to share. I also have a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music Performance from the London College of Music.

About Me

Hi! I have been teaching students of all ages and abilities for 10+ years. I have taught bass guitar, guitar, piano, drums, ukulele, vocals, and songwriting.

I have spent a lot of time teaching kids, For younger children (as young as 3) I have taught basic music ideas, rhythm games, and vocals. For older kids, I have taught instruments in a fun and exciting way. I love to teach fun, informative classes that keep kids engaged.

I attended the London College of Music from 2007-2011, studying music full time. My classes covered a range of topics including composition, performance, arranging, production, and education.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

One of the key aspects I focus on is supporting the student's interest and developing their motivation. In connection with this, lessons are held in a comfortable, respectful psychological atmosphere without pressure, where the student can relax and be themselves, without fear of judgment from the teacher.

In lessons, I use supplementary materials such as poems, paintings, and sculptures to enrich the student's understanding of music.

Lessons are adapted for age. Children usually prefer a game-based approach: minimum theory and more playing.

For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages.

Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable.

This class is designed for conservatory students, private candidates and advanced musicians who need solid guidance in harmony, counterpoint and fugue, especially in preparation for exams and auditions.

We work on written exercises, stylistic correction and analytical understanding, with a clear method and step-by-step feedback. Particular attention is given to Renaissance and Baroque practices (modal counterpoint, species, tonal counterpoint, fugue), helping students understand why rules exist, not just how to apply them.
