The Tecla y Música Workshop is a space designed to learn and develop your musical and expressive sense through the piano and / or keyboards.
The main objective is to learn to make music and enjoy the learning process and its results.
The material with which we work (songs, instrumental pieces and exercises) is mainly oriented to your musical taste, and the choice is based on gradually expanding your technical and expressive possibilities, while exploring different musical styles.
In this way, different tools are being incorporated to achieve, in a short term, mastery and fluency over the musical language and the instrument.
Given that each student has different interests and concerns, whether playing as a hobby or developing a professional career, composing, improvising, etc., the orientation of the classes is built according to the possibilities and particular needs of each case.
The work proposal implies a weekly class frequency to achieve optimal work dynamics and that the results are visible in a short term.
There is also the possibility of taking isolated classes in order to solve a specific objective such as developing and perfecting some particular aspect of music practice and / or theory as well as preparing instrument exams or theoretical subjects for institutions of musical studies.

I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 10 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. Santiago tailors each flute lesson to the student's level and goals, from beginner to advanced musician. He combines a solid technique acquired through his training at the Teatro Colón and the Geneva University of Music with a progressive approach.

A typical lesson begins with a warm-up and technical work (breath control, embouchure, fingering, tone), primarily at the beginner level, followed by the study of a repertoire chosen together, and then exercises in musicality and interpretation. The goal is always to help the student progress while fostering the joy of playing.

I am only prepared to go as fast as you are willing to practice and if that is not much then we will use the lessons to have fun and explore music while you find your rhythm. If you have found an instrument that interests you or you want to try many then that is great. Most students start out by choosing covers they wish they could play, songs that they love and want to show off and this can be done within one or two lessons which is very gratifying. Scales, theory and technicality come later if desired or when we are making great progression.

If you are technically sound and driven however and wish to do exams, I can prep you for this easily but do not sign up with exam boards or institutions for you - this would have to be done yourself. I currently have a student studying for Grade 6 MTB flute.

All you require is the instrument and yourself. I will provide the rest and my teaching method depends on what you require.

For guitar and piano I use chords and tabs from ultimate guitar and want to get you playing your favourite songs as quickly as possible.

If technical classical playing on any instrument is what you require then I will provide you with pictures and diagrams sourced from various parts of the web that I find explain everything easily and I incorporate them with my own images and notes.

Every lesson you will be left with an image on your email or platform, that highlights the areas we worked on that day. I also create my own backing, harmony and rhythm tracks for whatever it is you may be learning. So that you can play, clap and sing along.
