I offer professional Brass instruments (Bariton, Tenorhorn, Euphonium, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba) lessons for children from the age of four, for teenagers and adults. Whether beginner or advanced, that doesn't matter to me. Every motivated student of trumpets is welcome with me. I see it as my job to promote the particular character of each student. Playing the trumpet is an art that is difficult to explain. To become a good Brass player, you need more than “just” to master your instrument. Practice is a basic requirement. Young Brass students, children in particular need the support and support of their parents in the learning process, but the joy in the practice lessons should not be left behind. The focus of my lessons is on conveying musical understanding, sound technology and music literature from classical to klezmer to jazz. Elements such as transpose, orchestral replacement and sight reading are also taken into account in the lessons. I accompany the students as they prepare for competitions and auditions. I am happy to support you in improving your stage presence. I offer one-on-one and two-on-one classes. I teach the pocket trumpet for children. Furthermore, cornet, B and C trumpet (American and German) as well the Bariton, Tenorhorn, Euphonium, Tuba and Trombone.

About Me

Being a teacher means taking responsibility. You accompany each individual student individually in a section of his or her career. It fascinates me to pursue a common goal with the students and to find a way that promotes their enthusiasm for making music. As a trumpet teacher I set "pedagogical impulses", they support the musical development of the student and his personality. Making music strengthens social skills, students learn to take responsibility and use their creativity. I myself learned to play the trumpet from the age of four. The recorder was added later as a second instrument. I offer professional Brass instruments (Trumpet,Bariton, Tenorhorn, Euphonium,and the Recorder) lessons for children from the age of 6, for teenagers and adults. Experience / Qualifications

When I was eleven years old, I played in a youth orchestra for the first time. Until 2000 I gave concerts in Europe and the USA with various orchestras, including the “Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra”, and I won several grants. After graduating from high school, I did the military service in the military orchestra, compulsory in Israel, from 1997 to 2000. At Israel Defense Force College, I acquired the instructor qualification for youth orchestras. From 2002 to 2004 I worked in Israel as a freelance trumpeter and studio musician for television, before I began studying classical trumpet in 2005 at the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam” with Professor Theo Wolters. At the same time, I participated in the "Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra".

I successfully completed my studies in 2007 with a diploma. In the same year, I moved to Munich and became a permanent member of the Jakobsplatz orchestra and for some projects, I played in the Junge Münchner Philharmonie. I have been head of the United Klezmer Ensemble since 2009. We are a group of professional musicians and our concern is to revive the tradition of Klezmer. As a music teacher, I quickly gained a foothold in Munich. In 2008 I took over the musical direction of a Klezmer children's band and worked as a music teacher in a youth culture center.

Between 2011 and 2013 I worked as a trumpet and recorder teacher in various music schools in Munich. I have been living and working in the Rhein-Main area since 2013. Since 2019 I live in Denmark and I am a Brass teacher I'm Flensburg and Schleswig music schools. I am the musical director of Pa's Brass band, Schafflund, Germany, and I am the music conductor of the Schleswig youth orchestra. As well I am a member of several Brass bands in Denmark.

I was a student for 6 years at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels while being accepted in one of the most prestigious conservatories in Belgium. In master 1 I had the pleasure of leaving for a year in Erasmus in Italy in Rome, artistic capital essential in particular musically.
I have already taught the trumpet by giving private lessons and lessons can be done in French, English and Italian and also by webcam. I am currently an associate professor in a conservatory and a music school in France.
My goal: to make you feel more than one with your instrument and to have fun when you practice it.
Having known several pedagogical methods of teaching the trumpet across different countries, whether you are beginners, advanced, adults or children, amateurs or with the aim of becoming professional, I try to best adapt my different pedagogical knowledge according to your expectations. and above all without forgetting to share a maximum of musical happiness with you. The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. And we will address repertoires according to the age and taste of the student. we will draw a path with short, medium and long term goals. we will build a technical routine and healthy habits to progress correctly. My teaching method is as follows without the instrument: Awareness of the breath, placement of the mask (lips, tongue, palate, throat), body position.
With the instrument: The air column, the position of the mouthpiece, the work and the position of the tongue.
How to be enduring on the trumpet and get tired as little as possible.
For the advanced: work on the treble, the brass section, precision, Cat Anderson's whisper g, the choice of mouthpieces, the piccolo trumpet.
There are also balms to relax the facial muscles, flush out lactic acid, oxygenate the blood and reduce swelling.

Learning to sing doesn't always have to be a frustrated dream, we can all do it well, either as a hobby or because we want to be professionals. My name is Catalina and I am a singer, I teach other people because connecting through music is my passion.

I always work the classes under two principles:

1. Keep the class light and fun.
2. That everything in class is understandable and clear (if I have to repeat 80 times, no problem).

Methodology of the classes:

Classes can be taught at my home, the student's home, or virtually.
In the first class, a repertoire of approximately 2 or 3 songs is defined, which correspond to the student's taste as well as the vocal challenges they face, and an evaluation of strengths and challenges in learning is made.

In general all classes are divided into 3 parts:

1. Body warm-up (stretching, breathing exercises and activation of important muscles for singing).
2. Vocal warm-up through exercises to strengthen agility, tuning, phrasing and support.
3. Repertoire work where each of the details of the song being sung is reviewed, paying special attention to the most difficult parts of the song.

I have been fortunate to be able to teach children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

I am a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I attained two Masters degrees (MMus and MPerf) with distinction. I work with students of all ages and abilities, from teaching students their very first notes to preparing them for auditions at UK conservatories.

Although I now work primarily as a jazz/commercial trumpet player, I have a strong foundation in classical music. For students wishing to attain musical grades, I have experience with the ABRSM syllabus.
