Hello! I am a professional concert violinist from Armenia. I can teach students of all ages. I have 16 years experience in teaching international students violin and theory to beginners, amateurs and advanced students. I can prepare for concerts, graduation, competitions and exams or just to learn your favorite songs. One of my goals is the students to love violin and music, to help the students to improve technically and musically to achieve their goals, the hard things to become easier, feel music much better and deeper. I also can provide exercise books and scores.

I graduated from Yerevan State Conservatory. Have played in mastercourses with Ilya Gringoltz, Nikolay Madoev, Karen Shahgaldyan, Hrachya Harutyunyan, Yakub Gilman and Karen Aroutounian. I organized several solo concerts in Armenia. Have took part in festivals, concerts and festival academies in orchestras and as a soloist in Armenia, Switzerland, Germany, Estonia, France, Ukraine, China, Russia, Turkey. As a soloist I have played with Armenian National Symphony Orchestra, with GEPO Orchestra, Armenian National Tagharan Ansemble and with Naregatsi Chamber Orchestra. Currently I work as a violinist in Armenian National Tagharan Ansemble.

About Me

I graduated from Yerevan State Conservatory. Have played in mastercourses with Ilya Gringoltz, Nikolay Madoev, Karen Shahgaldyan, Hrachya Harutyunyan, Yakub Gilman and Karen Aroutounian. I organized several solo concerts in Armenia. Have took part in festivals, concerts, festival academies as a soloist and in orchestras in Armenia, Switzerland, Germany, Estonia, France, Ukraine, China, Russia, Turkey. In 2012 and 2014 have took part in Lucerne festival academy and worked under the baton of Pierre Boulez, Sir Simon Rattle, Matthias Pintscher, Clement Power, Peter Eotvos, having concerts in Lucerne Switzerland and in Paris France. Now I am teaching in Armenia and am a guest violinist in Armenian National Philharmonie Orchestra's New Camerata ansemble.

I am a violin teacher and violinist. Having taught the violin for 20 years and knowing in depth different instrumental techniques and different teaching methods, I can adapt my teaching to the needs, age and character of each student. In addition, my educational background combined with the unique experience and knowledge given to me by my relatively recent motherhood and my love for children and other human beings, has led me to pursue positive teaching with empathy towards the student who aims to make him happy, to love music and to acquire a solid basis for his overall development! I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60.
My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding.

DURATION OF THE COURSE AND ITS CONDUCT:
Methods adapted to the objectives / desires of the student.
My mission: Make learning simple but effective in order to focus on pleasure. The courses are not on the watch.
Thus, the student can choose to end the course only when he considers having obtained enough lessons but also to determine the duration in advance if he has imperatives.

MY METHOD
I adapt my pedagogy according to the student. (Age, goals, musical style, knowledge or not of music theory ...)
- Musical awakening for young pupils: The course is fun to capture the attention of the young pupil and allow him to soak up the musical bases and the instrumental technique while having fun.
- Beginner pupil: Approach the instrument by familiarizing himself with its outfit, use of the score or diagrams (according to the pupil's wish), adaptation to the pupil's development and his requirements.
- Intermediate student: Help with the performance of requested pieces or help with sought-after techniques, depending on the request.
- Advanced student: Interpretation work, learning tips to overcome the public's apprehension and to know how to make up for it.

Hi, I'm Stephanie, professional violinist and teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience, working with students from young beginners through to ATCL diploma level. I trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège in the Franco-Belgian violin tradition and currently perform with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

My teaching combines strong technical foundations with listening, musical curiosity and confidence. Growing up in Hong Kong, I began my own violin studies with the Suzuki Method, and I am now continuing my training in Suzuki pedagogy. I particularly value its emphasis on learning through listening, positive encouragement and developing good habits naturally.

I want lessons to be enjoyable and encouraging, while still giving students the tools to become thoughtful and independent musicians. My experience includes individual teaching as well as orchestras, bands and ensembles, so rhythm, listening to others and making music together are also important parts of my teaching.

Lessons are adapted to each student's age, level and goals, whether learning for enjoyment or preparing for exams, competitions and performances. Previous students have progressed from beginner to ATCL level, with several receiving prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

Every student picks up the violin for a different reason — some want to finally play the piece they've always loved, others are preparing for a conservatory audition, and many are simply curious and want to see where the instrument takes them. Lessons here start from that goal, not from a fixed method: a hobbyist and a future professional need very different things, and the plan adjusts as progress happens.

The core focus is classical technique — posture, bow control, intonation, and musical phrasing — built on training from some of the most respected names in the violin world today, including masterclasses with Olivier Charlier, Marc Danel, and Sarah Kapustin. Chamber music and orchestral playing are a particular strength, drawn from active experience performing in string quartets and symphony orchestras, so students preparing for ensemble playing or exams get guidance that comes from real stage experience, not just theory.

The first lesson is relaxed and low-pressure: it's mainly about listening, watching how you already play (or, if you're a complete beginner, how you hold the instrument), and understanding what you want to get out of lessons. From there, the first few real lessons focus on solid fundamentals — a comfortable, sustainable technique from day one prevents bad habits later. Regular short practice between lessons matters far more than long, occasional sessions, and having a well-adjusted instrument (even a modest one) makes that daily practice much easier — advice on setup and equipment is always part of the conversation if needed.

Behind the teaching is a violinist who recently finalized Master's degree in Classical Music Performance at Codarts Rotterdam under Gordan Nikolic and Goran Gribajcevic with highest marks, following a Bachelor's degree from the Conservatorio Superior de les Illes Balears. Teaching experience runs alongside an active performing career — including work as an academic with the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears and as a member of a professional string quartet — so lessons stay grounded in what actually works on stage.
