This class is for absolute beginners to intermediate players below 1400 elo rating online. Providing one-to-one interactive and supportive lessons which will be pre-panned based on player's current abilities.

About Me

I am currently a 2nd Year Psychology student at UEA, acting as Chess Society President. I am completely self-taught with Chess and growed rapidly throughtout the COVID period retaining knowledge of skills, theories, and stratergies. Before I taught friends chess who then flourished in their chess skills and enjoyment in playing the game. As a Psychology student I believe chess has positive effects on character building and want to use tutoring as a foundation for my future career.
I have a passion for music, being self taught and picking up guitar fast. Following this I help coordinate a band as guitarist with friends who share the same passions.

As a child, I played and worked at chess for many years before finally having a breakthrough as a teenager, and I have continued to improve, even into my thirties as a PhD student with little spare time. I have more than 10 years of competitive chess experience, with a FIDE rating of around 1825, an ECF rating of around 2013 and a Lichess rating of around 2300. My tournament results include 1st place at the Scarborough Chess Congress, 5th place in the Turkish U16 Championship and 2nd place in the Turkish University Chess Championship.
