I have over 30 years of experience playing chess. I am a Latvian Candidate Master with an international FIDE rating of 2059 and an English Chess Federation rating of 2120, and an online rating of 2400, reflecting a strong competitive level. I particularly excel in blitz and rapid formats. My greatest competitive achievement is winning 1st place at the English Open Women & Girls Rapid Championship in 2019.
I also have over 15 years of experience teaching chess to both juniors and adults. I have worked with students across the UK, supporting their steady progress and helping several achieve strong tournament results and qualification for higher-level competitions.
I teach beginners the fundamental concepts, rules, strategies, and tactical ideas of chess, while also helping intermediate and advanced players refine their technique, deepen their opening and middlegame understanding, and develop clear, effective winning game plans.
