Art Lessons and History of Art for Children and Young people

Everyone learns differently. That's why I teach the way you want. You decide what you want to learn and how, including when your lesson takes place and how long it lasts. I teach art history to anyone who wants to, regardless of age or level, online or at my home in Velp. You can learn about, among other things, the visual arts, music and literature from prehistory to the present. You can work towards an exam/test/training or just learn out of interest. Whether it concerns Michelangelo's David or the graffiti on the walls of Dubai, I'll be happy to tell you about it. Anything is possible. I am trained as a musician/writer and am a second-degree teacher. I have over 10 years of experience in education and have been teaching art history, music history, creative writing and other subjects at the senior level of a small secondary school for a number of years, where I am also a team member. I write teaching materials that are used at various schools in secondary and higher education. I have a lot of experience with innovative education and one-on-one teaching. Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

The skills you learn through drawing can help you in many other aspects of life. In this course you will learn how to look closer at objects, identify proportions, and apply your own style onto your artwork. My course introduces form and structure to younger students, and by the end of each class the student will have created a beautiful artwork. We will take inspiration from the student's interests for drawing subjects. My ultimate goal with this course is to inspire a passion for drawing.

Learning to draw or paint is not just about "reproducing well," but more importantly, about developing creativity. My classes emphasize developing the imagination while incorporating a rich and relevant knowledge of art history. Students thus improve both their technical drawing skills and their deeper understanding of art.

I specialize in drawing and painting, but I recognize that drawing is the foundation of art. It is also about being attentive and observant. Anyone could draw and it starts with looking carefully. This class is for aspiring artists, or anyone who wants to learn how to draw. My goal is to keep students inspired. I want to make each lesson personalized depending on what the student wants to learn while also introducing them to the foundational techniques of drawing.

This course is designed to be flexible. I adapt to your tastes and desires. I have a bachelor's degree in art history and am currently pursuing a master's degree. I offer this course to teach you a reliable cultural foundation. This can focus on a specific period, a movement, a medium, or be very general. The goal is to enrich your culture and satisfy your curiosity. For children, I offer a discovery course which aims to awaken the sense of art, while having fun.

Italian is the language of literature, of bel canto, and the language of one of the most beautiful countries in the world. In my course we will start with the linguistic and phonetic basics to then advance to more complex writings. You will practice speaking and correct pronunciation, to then arrive at written exercises, which you will also have to do at home to better assimilate the contents.

Hi! I’m an Iranian artist and teacher offering classes in oil painting, decorative painting, and papier-mâché sculpture. My lessons are suitable for everyone aged 7 and older—whether you’re a beginner or already have some experience. The classes are available in English or Persian (Farsi), and can be held online or in person at my location(Antwerp)—whichever works best for you. A course for beginner crafters who want to develop skills in embroidery, knitting or crochet - or all three! I am an experienced self-taught crafter who is able to clearly give instructions. You must provide the materials yourself but I can teach you what you need to know remotely, and we can work through projects together. If there is something specific you'd like to make but you don't know how - this is the place!
