I am currently a first-year microbiology student at Imperial College. I have one year of experience in teaching biology and maths focusing on students with a relatively poor foundation. My students improve from 1(fail equivalent in A level) to 4(C equivalent in A level) in HKDSE(public exam of my home country). I truly understand the key to improve is to arouse their interest rather than doing lots of paper and reciting lots of equations. Therefore, I have a small "fun fact" session in each lesson where I introduce some fun science facts to them, hoping to encourage to explore more themselves.

Wondering if science is not your subject and want to get rid of them right away? No worry, your tutor thought the same few years ago. I understand that equations and chemicals can be tedious. But once you realise the beauty of nature behind these equations, you will be amazed . It is my firm belief that there is no bad student, just bad methods to learn.
