Gruesome Biology - an introduction into viruses, parasites and bacteria
From 22.25 £ /h
As a side project for my science students I created a fun "gruesome biology" lesson plan (focusing on viruses/bacteria/parasites) which has encouraged students to develop a greater interest in science. I can also diverge into all relevant topics!

About Me
Hi to all students looking to learn English or maths/science!
I am a UK-born and raised, biomedical science graduate currently living in Sweden. I teach science and mathematics students of all ages. As a side project for my science students I created a fun "gruesome biology" lesson plan (focusing on viruses/bacteria/parasites) which has encouraged students to develop a greater interest in science.
In the past I tutored English literature, mechanical mathematics, biology and physics to children between the ages of 11 and 16, raising their grades by a minimum of two levels from an average C to an A in most cases. I have also tutored children under 11 and provided mentoring for other students over 18.
I believe with the right kind of teaching process, any student is capable of meeting and exceeding their learning expectations, therefore I aim to tailor my teaching methods to cater to individuals using study methods that work best on a case-by-case basis.
Academically I hold two bachelor degrees, one in public relations (BA) which was accredited by the Institute of Public Relations in England, the second a bachelor of science in biomedicine (BSc), completed in Sweden. I also have a Masters of Science in Integrated Health Science (MSc).
On the side, I have completed courses within the renewable energy sector including wind power, solar energy and impacts of climate change. In addition I took courses relating to behavioural change and motivation. I am also trained in dance with classical ballet my specialty.
My methodology is to teach each student based on their own preferential learning styles. Humour, stimulating discussion and structured/sequential learning pathways are how I would best describe this
