About Me
My great project for life and passion as a Teacher and as a Journalist is to work and
get immersed in different cultures, is to get to reach children in need, is to listen to
people that sometimes can not be heard and to get to change that fact somehow, is
also to know new faces and enjoy the diversity that surrounds the world.
At college in Panama, I won a scholarship to study languages in China,
the excitement of that class was incredible and the learning experience of that trip was
even better, all the things and books that you get to read before and after that
educational opportunity is simply amazing and it never stops.
As an English translator missionary for schools, different companies and churches at
Cru Panama MCI and at One Hope Ministries, also as an overseas teacher gave me
the experience to see and learn how people live in deep jungles with schools in
need, or how is the life in a village in the middle of the Himalaya or in an island far
away. This showed me how they survive with almost nothing ... that taught me to be
grateful for what I have, showed me different ways of happiness and different ways
of families.
Sharing life and culture in Nepal with local people in the villages have been amazing
and have enriched my world at all levels, is one of the best decisions that I have ever
made and I enjoy it every day.
I can be immersed in different cultures and I can create a safe environment for
different types of children, to understand the differences and the same things that we
have between each other and how God created us that way, I want to change
somebody's world somehow and I want to be somebody's voice with my profession
and knowledge. As a Christian person, I believe that you don't fight just for you, you
fight for others too.
I grew up in a home that showed me to work hard, to be humble, to fight for what you
believe, to care for others, to love and honor God, to sing and play music because
makes the world a better place to live, to have true friends close no matter the
distance in between that keep you accountable, to never stop learning and to never
give up. As a Journalist, I stand for the truth and not just be neutral and overall to
fight for it.
This is my personal philosophy for life
