About Me
Hello,
my name is Elena. I am an English native speaker and I am from Ontario, Canada. I have MA in linguistics, Your University, Canada and a TESL certificate. I have been teaching English, Business English, ESL, French, Russian, TOEFL, and IELTS for more than 15 years on line and in person. My students have different ages, levels, goals, and backgrounds.
When it comes to my teaching approach, I really like to get to know my students, do an initial and ongoing assessment to verify what they require. My lessons are interactive and student-centered. Depending on the student, I use various teaching methods. For example with beginners, I use an integrated approach to teaching that blends my personality and interests with students’ needs and curriculum-appropriate methods. With intermediate and advanced, I facilitate self-learning and help students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization.
Class rules: punctuality, participation and homework completion is required
I am sure we will have a lot of fun together if you book my lessons. Talk to you soon!
